he hovered over the last one that was alive. he was covered in the humans and his blood. two arrows stuck out of his right front leg and one was in his side. blood freely dripped from the wounds. his hatred was ablaze in his eyes as he stared the last live one in the eyes.

as he stared him in the eyes he realized it was merely a boy. anger heated inside him once more. he grabbed him by the shoulders and drug him over to the foal he had morned over not to long ago. he shoved him down by her ruffly. the tears he would not let come slid gently down . carefully he picked her up in his massive arms and shoved her at him . and waited to see his response .

The boy fell back with the weight of the yearling centuar on him. "Please mister, dont kill me!" the boy pleaded, and he began to bawl. "I didn't want to kill them, but my father," he pointed to the first man that died, the one Betsy killed, "made me! please, have mercy"

he watched the boy awhile and took the young centaur off him and picked him up setting him on his feet. his hand held his shoulder tightly. "let this be a warning to your kind!" he said in a snarling voice and pulled out the arrow in his side put it in the boys hands and shoved him to words the way they had come.

The boy could barely believe it, but he ran off quickly through the woods. Betsy walked through the bushes into the clearing. ::That was a noble thing for you to do. You could have killed him easily:: she sent, sitting down next to him...

with a scream of pain he pulled the last two arrows out and threw them on the ground. "my kind do not believe in killing the young " he said in a drawn tired voice. after pulling the arrows out his wounds bleed freely but he did not tend to his wounds.

Betsy saw the blood flowing freely, and had to restrain herself greatly from attacking him like all her animal instincts were telling her too. She licked the blood on her lips. ::I like that. No unnecessary killing...:: she sent

he could seance the struggle inside her " go ahead.... i am all that is left... i don't deserve to live any longer." he said to her... the ground below his belly and front right hoof was a puddle of his blood thick on the ground. his right shoulder was swelling slightly and he turned to walk through his kind once more.

She made a move to attack him, but checked herself. ::No, i couldn't do it. I've just fought on the same side with you. Attacking you would be like attacking a brother:: she slowly began to back away, but the scent of his blood was filling her nose
