Why is it so bad? I mean, EVERYWHERE is bad to live if you stay there long enough. Have you been EVERYWHERE on St. Thomas? How do you know it sucks so much if you haven't been everywhere? I can't stand where I live in Oregon, but I love Oregon in general and California of the states I've been in. Only this last summer did I actually get to see some of Oregon that I've never seen. Example: Crater Lake. Search for it. It's beautiful. I only went there this last summer. I still love the Oregon coast, I've been there a bunch of times too. Nothing is really new, it's just something that I don't get to do everyday so it makes it special.
So if you haven't seen ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING St. Thomas has to offer, then why not do those things? Take it from a tourist's perspective. Do things that tourists do and see things from a new light.

And how can you ask me if I've been everywhere and then just assume I haven't? THAT'S what makes the island so boring! It's small and VERY EASY to do everything within, like the first year or so of living there.
As for taking something from a tourist's perspective, I already admitted that if you come here for like a few weeks or a couple months even, you'd like it. I find it boring, because I've done everything here. I've lived in New York for about 6 or 7 years on and off and I haven't even come close to being bored of it.

Alright, that's fair. What's everything that you've done in in St. Thomas? Oh, BTW, if you're born there, or have lived there since you were little, then you can't exactly do everything in the first year or two. You're not old enough. Everything is new when you are old enough todo new things.

um... St. Thomas is 14 miles long... HOW CAN YOU NOT FIND EVERYTHING? anyway, the only thing i really like down here better then the states is paintball. Our undergrowth provides PERFECT camo... other then that, you can pratically grow weed in your backyard, right next to the tomatos and no one cares. tip: if you do visit St. Thomas, stay away from areas not on the map they give you... I've noticed an increase in the tourists who end up walking in savan looking both lost and scared... Kaden, back me up here.

*Born in New York btw*
And lol, even as a resident of St. Thomas, Savan is scary. Paintball's fun no matter where you are, but I guess Bambino has a point about the greenery. Of course, that's assuming you happen to be wearing green at the time.

SO! Size doesn't matter when it comes to places. Well, if you're too scared to go into an area, then you're still not seeing everything. I'm sure I'll get a bunch of crap about how bad Savan is. I'm sure it's not worse than the ghettos of L.A. but... *shrugs*
You know what... *wanders off*

*returns* You didn't think I'd have left that easily!
Okay, I did some research on St. Thomas. 2 places I'm curious about: Magens Bay Charlotte Amelie.
Okay, I lied. Coki Beach Main Street (shopping district) Haagensen House Museum Bluebeard's Castle Blackbeard's Castle Hotel 1829 Drakes Seat

um... ok... Magens Beach: big beach... Charlotte Amalie: My high school... though I think what you're talkin about is probably the name of the town. er... if you'd call it a town that is. Main Street: no parking, constant traffic, over-priced goods. Hotel 1829: I think they tore that down... not sure though. Drakes Seat: A spot to see most of the island. any of em i didn't mention, i don't know about.
and savan is worse then the ghettos of LA... at least when it comes to drug use. Wait... Everywhere here is worse when it comes to drug use... Kaden: who doesnt where green during paintball? Assuming you're outside of course...

Lol she researched St. Thomas. I don't know why that's funny to me. Anyway...
For the ones B didn't touch on: Coki Point Beach - Is a resort (fancy name for hotel) with a normal beach. Pretty standard as far as hotels go. Blue and Blackbeard's Castles: Supposedly said pirates lived there at some point in their lives. Now we make money off of people who believe that. I think it's a restaurant now, haven't been there in ages. Haagensen Museum: Have to admit, museums aren't really my thing. Since you're keen on researching, you'd be better off looking this one up.
And they did tear down Hotel 1829. As Bambino said, Main Street sucks. It's like a hundred jewelry stores with very overpriced jewelry. NEVER drive down there. As for Charlotte Amalie, the only thing of note with the name is Charlotte Amalie High School. You'd never hear someone refer to the area as Charlotte Amalie.
