Well....I think that they have vineyards there...and wine tasting...but I don't know. Look around on the net before you go...places to go in Maine.

Hey, if beaches are all you need in life, you'll fit right in on the rock.

You try to take the high road and ignore the obvious perversions, only to have people shove them in your face. Whenever I wonder why I was so happy to leave the island, I need only think of you "simon".

*watches bug that is stuck on keyboard* *starts tapping* So what is St. Thomas like? Is it always warm cuz of where it's at? Do you guys get hit by storms or hurricanes or anything? Are there any volcanos? What are the really cool holidays and things that St. Thomas celebrates that the U.S. doesn't? Why are so many people leaving? Are there any colleges or universities on St. Thomas? What's the legal age for everything? Sex, drugs, alcohol, things like that. P.S. Bambie: It's spelt C-H-A-O-S not C-H-O-A-S.

I'll handle this one.
So what is St. Thomas like?
It's hot, full of annoying mosquitoes, and boring after about a couple months. The good sides are the beaches and Carnival.
Is it always warm cuz of where it's at?
YES. I would go so far as to say warm is an understatement. The only time it's anywhere remotely near cool is during a winter night. And that's still a maybe.
Do you guys get hit by storms or hurricanes or anything?
Do we ever. People on St. Thomas still shiver when someone says the name Marilyn. And that hit back in '95. We get them every year, but so far none have topped her.
Are there any volcanos?
From what I hear, St. Thomas IS a volcano. Or we're on top of one. Either way, it's dormant.
What are the really cool holidays and things that St. Thomas celebrates that the U.S. doesn't?
The only cool one is Carnival. We get, what is it, a week or two off of school? Then there's the V.I./Puerto Rico friendship day or some BS. I'm probably missing some though. The two that are still in school can help me out with that one (lol).
Why are so many people leaving?
Have you been listening? The place sucks. Why do you think St. Thomas gets all its money from tourism? It's a great place to visit, but a horrible place to live.
Are there any colleges or universities on St. Thomas?
Just one. U.V.I. You can probably figure out what it means.
What's the legal age for everything? Sex, drugs, alcohol, things like that.
18 for sex and alcohol, but the age of sexual consent (meaning it's still wrong, but the guy won't be charged with rape) is 16. Drugs don't have a legal age. They're TECHNICALLY illegal no matter what age you are, but practically everyone on St. Thomas smoked weed. Even the cops did, so I don't think anyone was arrested for it.
