Dealer of Death

[Kaden]

He stumbled backward a bit at her sudden movement and subsequent appearance in front of him. It was so fast, he barely even saw it. "I - " He began to say, but balked. No matter how he felt about her, there was no way he was going to let on that he knew Kiya. "I have to see it." He eventually said.

[Jaira]

"Its got nothing to do with you, you should go back to your customers.... what are you laughing at?", Jaira swung around, unable to take the rising deep chuckle coming from the owner.

Turners face regained its usual smirk, shifting to the wizards face, "You`re right, Miss Esteen, I did have one in my employ that knew the family."

Her body froze. If she was reading this right..... She bit back her temper, unwilling to allow the man see into the complex nature of the situation.

[Kaden]

It didn't take long at all to figure out what the conniving bastard was trying to do. What better way to shift the focus off of himself, than to give up the identity of another with new information? All it took was that glance to tip Jaira off, and all three of them knew it. He was going to pay Turner back for this, that much was certain.

There was no more playing stupid. A wrathful look crossed Kaden's demeanor. "You're not leaving this place in one piece." He spat venomously as Xavier.

[Jaira]

"Hold it", Jaira turned her back as much as she dare on Turner, her face turned down and into the dark, "You knew Kiya?", her voice fell into a strained whisper as she asked the question off Kaden.

[Kaden]

Knowing the town he was in, he always wondered why he was never allowed to bring his scythe in to work. Now he knew why, Xavier knew this day would come. Unfortunately, he didn't need his weapon. "I think we're past the point of asking that question." Kaden responded, his brown eyes boring into his manager's very being. He didn't even look at Jaira. "The real question, and what will determine how bad I f**k up Mr. Turner here, is what you want to find her for."

[Jaira]

"You dont get to know that", Jairas voice cut to its normal chill, her gaze raking over Kadens face, "I dont care how I get this information. Whether its from you or from Mr Turners torture, I need to know where she has gone. Where they`ve all gone".

"That does not mean..." she was by Turners side in another instant, his neck pulled back in such a tight hold his veins threatened to pop from his pale skin, "You will get away with your payment Xavier. If you give me nothing, if its up to Torrik to tell me, then Ill get to enjoy all the more breaking every bone in your pathetic body. Then Torrik can have you. And he looks pretty pissed to me."

[Kaden]

His gaze finally left the other man and fell on Jaira. "I don't get to know? Well, that's very bad for all of us then. See, if you don't tell me, then I'll have no choice..." Kaden emphasized the point he was about to make, by forming a gauntlet of ice around his right hand, then extending a thick, razor-sharp spike from it. "...But to make absolutely sure he doesn't tell you a damn thing. And you better not get any delusions of me telling you. So worst-case scenario ends up being we all die in this room."

[Jaira]

"Torrik, get the f*ck out, I dont need this right now", Jaira growled, angry that she had lost control of the situation. Her life rested on this, and the information she needed was right at her fingertips.

A quick quip from Turner earned him a slap which brought blood springing to his cheek.

[Kaden]

"No." Kaden said firmly, and without hesitation. There was no way he was leaving her alone in this room with Xavier. He'd be squealing like a pig within the first couple seconds of any sort of physical torture. "I couldn't care less what you need right now Jaira."

[Jaira]

"Why are you so eager to protect this woman?! Why the hell should you care?!", her eyes flashed dangerously. Underneath her hold she felt Turners body trembling, and caught her confidence boost, "Where. Are. They", she hissed into his ear.

[Kaden]

"It is of no concern to you why I care about her. All you need to know is that I do." Kaden said simply, not caring to elaborate on the subject. Pointing the threatening ice spike on his fist at Xavier and Jaira, he continued. "You control the situation. What's it going to be?"

[Jaira]

She gritted her teeth and turned her back on Kaden, kneeling heavily into Turners most vunerable area. A ragged gasp escaped his lips, "Her parents.... theyre from another...."

"Speak! God damn it!", Jaira grabbed the mans chin and forced his gaze into hers, "SPEAK TO ME!"

"Library", Xaviers eyes rolled as he rested dangerously on the line of passing out, "Theres a ... a... porthole... I dont know...."

[Kaden]

The way they were positioned, Kaden couldn't fire the spike without it going through Jaira. Even in his current mindstate, he didn't want to kill her, but this was easily solved. Pointing his hand to the side, he shot it off into the air then took control over it as it flew, directing it all the way around to impale itself into the back of Xavier's head. The point came extremely close to Jaira's face. Within moments another spike was formed on the wizard's fist, this one pointed at the wolf. "I warned both of you."

[Jaira]

"You wouldnt", Jaira faced him in shock, unable to believe he had killed her only lead in finding the woman and her children. As the full weight of what had just occured hit her, her eyes fired in anger once more, "Do you realise what the f*ck you`ve just done?!"

[Kaden]

"Judging by your current reaction, oh I have a pretty good idea of what the f**k I just did." Kaden said, holding his arm steady, his eyes mirroring the fury and anger in her own. "I guess we both have that line where our patience draws thin."
