"What do you mean? Of course I am human. No one's ever told me otherwise. How would I know for sure?" Elisa looked from person to person. The fact that she might not be human never crossed her mind.

"No problem." Kaden said, taking her empty glass and washing it, placing it with the rest of the glasses. Pulling a clean one down, he filled it with normal water and brought it back to her. "Here you go."

Elisa laughed, "Not exactly the way I'd like to introduce myself to the rest of the citizens of this town. But I'll take that drink anyway, as soon as I finish my water." She hesitated for a moment, but the liquor, doing its job, loosened her tongue. "Do you mind if I ask you some questions? If I get too personal you can always choose not to answer them. It's just that I am fascinated with this place. I grew up believing certain things were real and others fantasy and since I've been here, my world's turned upside down."
