Lily looked around. " You want the long route, or the short one?" she quipped. She saw Dyras attempt to cover her physical weakness and walked over to the hole in the wall.
" It just so happens that we have a quick exit here, curtesy of Fallow The Mighty!"
She bent and began to pull away some of the smaller pieces of debris.
" Narym...oof," she grunted. " Do you think Fallow might give us a lift to wherever it is we're going?"

Narym joined Lilys efforts and soon the area was clear enough for Dyra to walk through without much climbing.
" I've already asked him," she answered. " Hang on while I ask him to pass on a message to Kaden through Syn that we've other business to attend to."
After a few moments she turned back to Dyra.
" Seems like they've got everything under control!"
She walked back to Dyra and tilted her head to one side, studying her. " Are you up for a dragon ride?"

Following the two women to the hole in the wall, she looked out and smiled a bit, thankful for the fresh air, and cool breeze. Pausing at the idea of a dragon ride, her grin grew in size. "I'd love a dragon ride...never had one of those before, so it'll be a new experience. And as to where we should go...I'd say somewhere in the forest. Few people stay there, and the trees don't mind sharing a bit of their energy...most of them being far more filled with it than people would guess...but it makes sense. Trees are so much older than people, and their lives are so sedentary that they store most of it for long periods of time, only using it when the seasons change and they go into hibernation." Waiting for Fallow to appear, she asked, "So...what does a dragon ride feel like?

Narym called to Fallow and very soon he had landed once again in the castle grounds, just outside the hole he had made. He lowered his huge head and fixed Dyra with a steely gaze from his deep blue eyes. He huffed gently, his breath ruffling Dyras hair.
' Greeting Dyra,' he said in her mind. Aware of her inexperience of dragonkind he approached her carefully, gently. ' Do not be afraid that I can speak to you so,' he continued. ' I am linked to you in the same manner as Narym is, but if you do not wish it, please say and I will retreat.' He huffed again and moved his head back a little to give her space and waited patiently for her answer.

Looking into the deep blue eyes, which had to be larger than her hands were, she smiled and tilted her head to the side as he spoke in her mind, listening carefully. He didn't sound like she thought a dragon would, but then again, she wasn't really sure what a dragon should sound like in her mind. Smiling, she responded with her voice, "Greetings, Fallow. It is a wonder to meet you! I have spoken with shifters before, who also spoke in my mind, so that does not bother me, although I imagined your voice to be a bit...rougher, I think." Her eyes twinkling with mirth, though she was still trying to not show any pain, she looked at Narym and Lily, and chuckled a bit before continuing, "This is a treat for me, I think." Her smile reflecting the happiness and amazement she was feeling at that moment.

" In that case, step aboard," Narym invited. She climbed up and held out her hand to help Dyra, with Lily scrambling up after.
" Now, are you sure you want to go to the forest? When Fallow and I flew over it looking for Captain Fantastic, we could sense the magic, old magic." She shifted and looked over her shoulder at her friend. " I'm worried it might affect my senses so that I won't be much help to you."
She looked about her, suddenly aware of the silence. The fighting had stopped. Cassandra had been right. Once the captains had been silenced, the main body of guards had given up. There wasn't one in sight. Well and wasn't that a relief! No dodging arrows!
She lifted an eyebrow in what she hoped was a fair imitation of Kaden and waited for Dyras answer.

Settling herself between Narym and Lilyrose, Dyra nodded, and then spoke as Narym was in front of her, "There is old magic there, but that's what I'm looking for right now. I've found that magic is another form of energy, but the energy from trees doesn't have the same signature soul that tries to get meshed into my own. It might not be the safest place for casting spells, but for finding energy, it's a well...and all I'll need will be enough to heal the damage my body will most likely take." Prepared for the flight, Dyra took a final deep breath and waited for the dragon to take flight.
