Selene didn't think it convinced him any, so she set him on the floor so she was looking at him, "Ender, I'm going to make you a promise okay? I promise to help you in any way I can, but if you do something that doesn't make sense and it threatens your life I'm going to pull you back, and tell you the same thing over and over again. And that's that I will be here for you no matter what." Selene looked at Ender with promise in her eyes.

Selene nodded slowly still staring out the window. "Yeah," Selene began to tell Ender her past. "Liliona and I were about 14 in human years and bounty hunters came storming into our house. They were after my parents and my family. But we never found out why.
"Liliona and I watched our parents get slaughtered heartlessly. My grandparents were old and they died too. All our cousins, aunts and uncles died." Selene started tearing up. "I went to go get my five year old brother, and Liliona was right behind me," Selene's tears rolled down her face.
"We got to his room and we saw him on the floor....in a pool of blood. I only remember crying over him, carrying him in my arms, getting covered in his blood. Liliona cried too. We went to find our parents' body. I kept seeing all my families' bodies with the exception of a few bounty hunters.
"We got to our parents who were pale and cold. We laid my little brother's body next to them. We found some roses and laid them on their bodies, on all our families' bodies. We lived on our own for years." Selene wipped her eyes and became angry.
"When we were about 19 we began to see bounty hunters following us. Over the years we had made our weapons to defend ourselves. When the bounty hunters started to attack us we were ready. We killed them all, but we knew there would be more. We haven't seen any for years, but I'm waiting."
Selene took a breath and looked at Ender.
