At what point do we stop hurting the ones we love? Including ourselves. Often those nearest to us suffer the bruising of all the falls we take. In those moments of deep pain we try our hardest to let those that care go, but the bind of emotions can be as stubborn as the thickest rope, and they will ultimately be pulled into the struggles behind us. And we want to help. The majority of us, as humans, wish to give our friends, our family, our lovers the best of us we can. But we are just that, at this moment in time, we are human, incapable of even grasping the very thought of why such hurt can impound our lives. So together we fall!. And bruise, and learn.
Do we enjoy these games? For surely, we tell ourselves, we would feel sick if we did? But what if, in this incomprehendable jigsaw puzzle, we felt pleasure from the pain? The kiss to silence a scream. The words to weaken the past tortured weeks..... An emotional bandaid. Mind you a much desired one at these times. In the end, if applied to often these become as addictive as the toughest substance. And help becomes deadly. So we try it alone. And hurt ourselves. And just keep looking for those answers.
I guess all we can do is trust in the Love.

A very thoughtful piece, beautifully written.
Did you have anything specific in mind or is it just a generalisation? Whichever, it's insightful.

I have a habit of attracting and living these 'love you now/fight with you in the next breath' relationships (probably made much more intense by my overactive mind). I'm trying at the moment not to do it again, taking time out and working out where I currently am with certain relationships. So, specific yes, unfortunately however it could be a generalisation of my life! Haha!
Thanks for the reply. xo
