It seems good to me, except people aren't nearly as active anymore.

Marketing may be a good idea. But other than that, what do you do to attract people to come back?
Sorry to say, it gets boring with just me, Cuddy, and Tam and the occasional appearance of Skyler.

And as it looks like dyra has scarpered I'm left with no assistant either now lol.....what I'd like to see is more activity from those who make up polls asking folk what do we want to have on the boards..I had already suggested an out of town market section...which could be a whole new set of tales and adventures....

The problem with that is that the board can't run on 5 characters. We've tried it before, didn't work so well.
As for the asking, I'm doing something that I wouldn't normally do and taking feedback and relinquishing some creative control in order to pick the activity back up. I know Dyra will more than likely be back if we get something up and going. The problem is, like I said, the limited number of people here.

looks like what you need is a dose of brutal honesty! courtesy of yours truely! *clears throat*
firstly THAT STUPID ACCOUNT APPROVAL THING IS A PAIN IN THE ASS. dude, if i went to a site that i was vaguely interested in, and i had to WAIT to have my account approved, id lose interest straight away. its like this, imagine if you will that nightworld is a young man, trying to woo a young damsal (aka new players) he approaches her in the street, asks her on a date, and when she says oh yes! how lovely he goes WAIT, I MUST FIRST APPROVE OF YOU, STAND AROUND WHILE I APPRAISE YOU MADAM. clearly this is not the best way to go about wooing a lover.
secondly, look i know i have a warped sense of what 'fun' is, but pretty much 80% of the people who were fun, and okay highly dramatic and volatile, were deleted, and then pretty much everyone else got bored from lack of dramatic interactions and left. sometimes you just gotta let the sh*t hit the fan. i personally do not delight in the petty lovers tiffs and cat fights that have previously graced the nw boards but i do delight in humiliating such people any chance i get. so basically. YOU THREW AWAY MY TOYS wah wah.
thirdly i think a new plot is an excellent idea. i usually despise plots with every fiber of my being but i guess most people like them so bring on the plots!
fourthly, everyone likes competition and being rewarded for good behaviour, like how people who played heaps and weren't idiots got mod status, well until they lost it for being idiots but thats not my point, or like how you guys had competitions that was kinda cool. anyway i kinda liked other people having mod status it gave me someone to annoy.
also. JENNY I HAVENT SPOKEN TO YOU IN AGES. so hugs and kisses. and a manly handshake for mikey.

Ok, so here is what the new approach is going to be:
1. I'm going to work on a new plot on the board, something veering away what is essentially a storyline we finished off a long time ago. I'm going to see if we can somehow go back to how it was in version 3 where we had challenges and stuff that got others involved.
2. With every new version of the board, there will be new graphics. This will be no exception. New graphics updates mean closing the board for the time period when they are being installed. This will be no exception (again).
3. There is a MySpace group already, and I may create a group on Facebook. We also may try to drum up interest in chat rooms on Yahoo! as well. As for other marketing of the board, we'll have to see where and when we can work things out to advertise.
4. Finally, I'm considering up to 3 characters per person, which will be allowed after proving you can handle 1 or 2 (neither Tam nor Cuddy is affected by this rule - if you wish to have up to 3, you may create them) unless Cass decides that's too much. But for now, I say 3 is good, as it may help with activity if people even play between their own characters.
The closing will be posted when it is time to update.
Also, if either of you wishes to recruit people, go ahead, just let them know that we will be soon undergoing serious renovations and will be very slow until that point. I'm going to try for Dec. 1 at the latest, but am honestly hoping for earlier.

I know this is off topic, but why is the world so excited about Obama? He has said nothing of substance except he is going to do things that take money out of our pockets and "redistribute the wealth" in America, cap and trade on polluting industries, including our coal electric plants, which will "necessarily" raise the price we pay for electricity, won't let us become energy independent of the terrorist nations, and won't oppose infanticide. Sorry to rain on the world's parade, but America looks to go down under Obama, not up.
