Malachi simply nodded, with a small smile on his face.
"You are wrong with that accusation though. Some people can take their powers too far, and use them for evil. But just because some people use it that way doesn't mean that everyone does it like that."
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pocket knife. He opened it, and gently cut his arm. Some blood dripping from it, but then Malachi put his hand over it, and a white aura surrounded his hand. When he removed it, his cut was completely healed. He put his pocket knife back into his pocket.

Despite her fear, Arjani was curious. Carefully, she leaned closer to Malachi, just to see his uninjured arm. When nothing dire happened to her, she extended a finger and brushed its tip over the perfect skin. There wasn't even a scar!
"How do you do that?" She asked, "And where does the injury go? Can you do that to others?"
By now she was considerably closer, her eyes studying his arm.

Malachi smiled.
"Yes I can do it to others. Though I don't have as much healing powers as Mystic Warriors. I still have some, and unlike Mystic Warriors, I can use my powers in dark area's too."

Arjani's eyes flicked up to Malachi's face and locked on his.
"What do you mean, you use your powers in the 'dark areas' too?" She pushed back towards the corner, keeping a wary distance from him.
Dark magic had been her downfall. Its use caused her terrible pain.

((We're not in a cave.))
Malachi shook his head.
"All I mean is that if it is dark outside, I can still use my magic, as where Mystic Warriors can't."

(OOC: Sorry! Fixed it. It's late and I'm tired and stupid. Please bear with me)
To Arjani, 'dark' meant so very much more. She kept herself as far from him as the corner allowed.
"What is a mystic warrior?" She asked, "I am unfamiliar with the term."

Malachi smiled.
"Don't worry, you seem lost here. It's okay. A mystic warrior, is much like a cleric, which is what I am. Only, their healing power is much stronger, only, they can't use their powers when it's dark where they are."

Like a magical shock passed through the floor she sat on and travelled along her spine to her head, the pain rose. Arjani arched her back and another scream ripped out of her throat. Stiff as a board, she toppled over onto her side, the throbbing pain giving her convulsions.
Helplessly, her hands scraped at the floor and her legs jerked. With her eyes rolled up into her head, she rode the spasms and tried not to bite her tongue. Pain pounded through her over and over again.

"Arjani!"
Malachi rushed to her side, his hands glowing a faint white. He put his hands onto her. One on each of her arms. The white aura spread from his hands onto her body, hoping to help her.

A warmth infused her. It wound around her pain and pulled it away from her, slowly, almost tenderly. The throbbing ebbed like a weak tide and she felt hands on her arms.
Startled at the closeness of a magical being, Arjani drew back in fear. The pain didn't return; in fact it seemed to disappear. With relief palpable on her face, Arjani sighed and opened her eyes.
"It's gone," her voice held wonder, "You made it go away/"

Malachi let out a deep breath, as sweat ran down his face. He let go of her, and backed away slowly. His breathing was very heavy, and he seemed to be having a hard time finding it. He just nodded slowly.

Arjani never once wondered why Malachi seemed so drained. The curse that had been laid upon her was powerful and terrible in its complexity. It had been called to her by a very old and evil magus.
"Are you alright?" She asked cautiously.
It wouldn't do to have the one person able to relieve her agony to be the first one killed by it.

Malachi put on a half-smile. He nodded slowly, indicating that he was going to be okay.
"I will be..."

Almost like a flower unfolding, the lovely woman rose to her feet. She seemed to have forgotten her fear in the face of something much more pressing: her interest in learning.
Curiousity rampant in her expression, she asked, "Does that happen every time you do, ah, that sort of thing?"

He began to catch his breath again, and he was feeling much better. He got a full smile this time, and shook his head slowly, never letting his eyes leave Arjani's.
"No. Only when I do really powerful healing."
