This time he was back at the Lake area, the usual collection bag over his shoulder, but with a slight difference from his alst visit, this time he had not walked out all the way from town, rather he had driven out,to allow himself time to get used to the new ponies, and they to him.
Also he had with him a spade, for he was primarily on a digging up mission, seeking out a few willow saplings, three of which were already dug up and bound in protective sacking,to stop the roots drying out.
In addition to saving time actively seking the willow etc,it meant by doing this it stopped the actual trees from overcrowding themselves,he was after 6 of them today,to take back to the Herb Garden.
Some clumps of Jasmin and Lavendar were also on the agenda too. Under some of the nearby bushes he layed out a series of long cylindrical tube like objects, these were of course snake traps, they didn't kill the animals, but instead caught them alive, which is what he wanted, they would go into the 2 Vivariums he had just recently installed in the lab,the traps were baited with some mice that had been caught in the Raw Material Store. He would check on the traps later, making a note on a piece of paper where the six traps had been set.
As it was a nice sunny day he had brought some food and drink too, knowing that back at the shop,Bernie and Bjorn were busy digging out the new Pond for the Herb Garden.

And indeed a succesful day was had snake hunting, for each of the traps had been sprung.Being very careful in opening them, just in case they were all venemous, afterall,he did not want to be bitten out on the job as it were.
Well five out of the six met with success in that they contained the venemous ones he was after, three females and two males, with an added bonus in that one of the females was showing signs that she was getting ready for a spot of egg laying. As for the sixth snake,it was just a harmless grass snake, which he released.
As he watched it slither away,it got him thinking about the theme for another front of shop display tank.
