Brief history: Shana is a dreamer. She seems to be searching for the one thing she cannot find.

When she was younger, Shana was a very happy and cheerful person. She always respected her family, friends, and even people she did not agree with. She showed early signs of being affixed with the power of light and has since then been developing her swordsmanship and abilities with her teacher, honing her skills to near perfection. But on her eighteenth birthday, everything seemed to change. For one reason or another, Shana decided to leave her peaceful little village to seek out those more in need of her help.

Shana and Kaden met one of the first days she was in Night World. She was in need of help getting rid of an affixation she had. Because Kaden was a mage, she had a feeling he could help. You see, Shana was in love with a childhood friend (Raphael) who was a legendary fighter in their hometown. He was summoned to meet with the God of Light, Amon, (The ruling Deity of their land) and was given the responsibility to defeat one of the many forms of the God of Death (Astaroth).

So, she went with him into the Underworld - but they were defeated. Raphael lost his life, but not before Shana had found out that he hadn't returned her feelings for him. She was heartbroken - he was dead, and she had survived and had found herself mysteriously in Night World. In the present, Shana was still in the service of Amon because she had taken Raphael's place after he had died. She needed Kaden's help to get rid of Astaroth, or find a loophole in the system to free herself.

Kaden and Shana were a little distracted by Donner who had first started appearing whenever Shana was around. They decided that the best way to get rid of him was to perform a 'Soul Purification' ritual. They entered Kaden's soul (with help from Amon's Light Powers that Shana had) and disposed of Donner after a long battle. After that, they had to pass through a trial of the Heart (Reliving a difficult memory and getting through it. Kaden had to face his brother in a battle and Shana had to relive an experience with one of the God of Death's minions who taunted her relentlessly)

They returned home unharmed, and the next battle began.

Then, they turned their attention to the Gods. They met with Amon, God of Light, in the forest - and he agreed to give Kaden a shot at taking out Astaroth to extend Shana's time to dispose of his human form. Then they made their way to the Underworld again and faced off against Astaroth.

The battle was long, and wasn't without casualties. After they had reached the Throne Room, they found that Astaroth had a trick up his sleeve. He had created a Vodoo doll of Shana to control her in the battle. The only way to be rid of the doll was to destroy it - and that would destroy Shana as well. After they had used their strength to weaken Astaroth, he had pulled another dirty trick. He had used the doll to hold Shana in one spot while he stabbed her through the back. Kaden had killed him in that instant, and he disappeared, but Shana was severely wounded. With the last of her strength, she transported them into the Sanctuary that was the Other World.

The Other World is the ultimate haven for anyone in danger, and only people with great light abilities can gain access to this place. She had fallen into an eternal slumber, to remain in that place forever. But, Amon appeared to Kaden and told him that to awaken her, he only needed to pour the energy into her body. He did, and she was awakened. They shared a sentimental moment and returned to Night World.

Soon afterward, Shana and Kaden returned to take a break at a nearby Inn – and they suddenly met a familiar face. Raphael, under the control of Astaroth, had been resurrected to kill both of them. After a long run toward the Sanatorium, the two barred the gates on a small, feeble church for protection against his dark powers.

Shana then disappeared quite suddenly, only to retun two months later with a mysterious ailment. She cannot speak, and not much has been discovered about her new troubling tale.
