Shana smiled and flipped the microphone off, and looked over at Keira. She blushed a little, she hadn't anticipated any praise for her song. Besides, she hadn't written it alone. "Thanks, but you did great too! I didn't know anyone who could pick up a song so quickly." She said with a smile.
Shana turned back to the growing audience before them - she waved and blew a kiss to them. A few in the front laughed and waved back. She reconized them to be regulars around here - Shana wasn't afraid of the stage, or the attention either. Actually it was a welcomed change.
"Keira, why don't we go offstage - I need to speak to you about something anyway." Shana's tone had gone quiet, not wanting the rest of the crowd to overhear her quiet words. Beads of sweat had appeared on Shana's fragile complection, and her eyes looked a little blotchy.
She walked off stage at a quick walk and instantly burried her face in a towel that sat directly offstage on a chair. She wiped the sweat off her pale skin and almost immediatly afterward, began to cough into the towl. She coughed once, twice, then stopped.
'It's this damn cold... it's not getting any better...' She thought, pushing the worry from her mind.

"Are you feeling alright, Shana?" Keira asked, sitting down next to her.

Shana coughed into the towel once more, then let it slip from her fingers down to the cold cement floor. She shook her head, then pulled up a chair and sat next to Keira. Another singer had taken the stage, and the song he had chosen was about to begin.
"I've had a weird cough latley. I can't understand what's the matter, I don't feel sick. And whenever I go get it checked out when it gets worse, the healers over at the Sanatorium always say it'll be gone in a week or so. Then it gets worse, and another week goes by." She said with a heavy sigh.
"Maybe I'm stressing out over nothing, huh?" She asked, a smile on her face. She tried to remain positive, but the fact was, she was getting scared. What if something was wrong...?

"That doesn't sound like a normal cough. Did the Healers give you anything to help it?" Keira asked, worried for her friend.

Shana shook her head, and replied, "Nope. They didn't see anythign strange in my throat either. It's just annoying - nothing to worry about. Or, that's what they told me to think." She shrugged it off, and casually glanced back onto the stage. The singer was good - and a larger crowed was beginning to form in the Club.
"Keira... I have to tell you something." She said quietly, bracing herself to reveal her secret to her friend.

Keira adjusted in her seat and crossed her legs. "Alright, what is it?"

Shana smiled in her own strange way - she didn't want to say it, but she needed to. "Keira. I'm going away for a while." She said quietly, not able to look at her friend as she spoke these words. She didn't want to know how she felt at that moment - Kaden was leaving, and now so was Shana.
"I can't explain fully yet, but I got a message from my hometown yesterday. Some... stuff has happened and they need me to come back. Now." She said, as quietly as before. Then, she whispered, only to Keira, "I'm so sorry, Keira..." She herself hadn't gotten much more detail than that - but she had known it was urgent. The elder wouldn't have bothered looking her up if it wasn't.
((Oh yeah, this thread is before Kaden and I left - right? I mean, Shana doesn't have a voice after she returns, like you know, and Kaden is well - haha - he had dark magic.))

((yea, before shana left. Kaden is gone, but he hasnt left for a long time))
Keira stared at her friend. "For how long?" She asked, realizing now that she would be on her won for an unknown amount of time.

(Mm, gotcha ^.^ Thanks for the refresher!)
Shana shook her head and grabbed the towel from the floor and folded it in her shaking hands. She hadn't realised she had been shaking as she spoke - the thought of returning to her Hometown made her feel very uneasy. The last time she had been there was when Raphael had died.... she had left only a week after she had recovered.
"I'm not sure how long I'll be there for. It seemed very important, and I don't really know what ot expect. the village elder would only call back the traveling warriors if something big had happened..." She had been wondering what was up ever since she had recieved that letter so unexpectedly. Again, Shana avoided her friend's eyes and said, "I do know that I have to leave as soon as possiable. It's a week's journey back to my town and I'm sure they will want me there as soon as I can manage. The letter arrived yesterday, so whatever has happened is already one week in the making."

Keira sighed deeply and nodded. "I can understand that." She said, thinking about needing to get back quickly. After a pause she asked, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

Shana nodded, and stood up. "Actually I need to head over to get my other weapons sharpened. I have a few daggers and another sword that have gotten pretty dull. If you want, we can run over there together." She said, holding out a hand to help Keira up.
"That is, if you arn't too busy?"

Keira shook her head and got up, with Shana's help. "Not for a friend," She said, then smiled. "Come on. We'll go to my shop and I'll sharpen them for you."

Shana smiled and walked over to the back exit door. She nodded to one of the managers who stood backstage. He nodded back and radioed to another member of the staff to tell everyone they were leaving. It would be ackward if they were called onstage and they were not around to come on again.
"Ready, Keira?" She asked, fixing her back dress so it sat neater along her waist-line.

Keira nodded and stood up. Walking over to the bar she grabbed her ice rose from the bar tender, giving him a wink for a thanks and walked out of the club with Shana.
((wanna make another thread or let it end here?))
