Trance

[Kaden]

By now, they had reached the door to the club and, without taking his lips off of Jaira's, Kaden pushed open the door with his foot. As they got outside of the dance hall, he found himself not wanting to break the kiss just yet. It lingered between their lips for a few moments longer than it should have, before Kaden found his senses again. "....We're outside." He said softly, slightly pulling his lips from hers.

[Jaira]

Her eyes sat upon his lips, a mere inch from hers. Finally she found her voice, which although husky, settled straight back into the straight tone that had surrounded her earlier, "Thankyou for your help Mr Torrik". With much effort she straightened up and took an obvious step backwards. "I must get back to the dungeons. Hopefully they won`t notice my absence and will think my brother lying".

[Kaden]

He was about to speak, but found that his voice wouldn't get louder. Clearing his throat, he continued. "Of course. Uh....You're welcome." He said hastily. "This is definitely the farthest I've ever went with someone without knowing their name." The wizard added.

[Jaira]

Jaira breathed a quiet sigh of loss. "It won`t be asked of you again", she whispered softly,
"I`m sorry you were brought into this Mr Torrik..".

Turning to fade into the night her voice dropped softer yet, "..and that this must be the end".

[Kaden]

"Call me Kaden." He said after her, his voice sounding like a whisper in the night. "And I'm sorry too."

[Jaira]

"Oh... Were all sorry", Jairas brother stepped out before her, "...That we have to witness this pathetic event, of course." His tone snapped as he gestured to another brother lurking in the darkness. "Get the bitch outta here before I`m sick".

A dark flash crossed Jairas eyes, but she knew better then to fight back. "I can walk myself home", she replied sharply. "Lets go".

"Ohhhh but..", Jairas blood ran cold at the sound of her sole sisters voice, "Where would the fun be in that? Especially with this fine speciman here", her eyes raked Kaden over.

Shrugging the scenario off, Jaira turned to leave, barely containing her fuming hatred. "He was just a bit of fun for the night", she replied indifferently, "Im sure you`ve all done the same".

"Ohh but dear sister, you know that you are very different from us..."

[Kaden]

There were three of them, and Kaden wasn't planning on instigating any fight with them. Especially seeing as their prey was leaving on her own. Briefly, he wondered if they were all werewolves as well. If they were, then a fight with three at once wouldn't only be stupid, it'd be suicide as well. There was just one thing he wanted to know.

"What are you planning to do with her?" Kaden asked, ignoring the roving eyes of the female.

[Jaira]

Her oldest brother snarled at his question, causing Jairas blood to run cold. "You`re little friend is asking to much for my liking", he grabbed the werewolf`s arm in a tight pinch and began leading her away.

"If I were you", the sultry voice was directed at Kaden, "I would try to forget about this little incident. About Jaira for that matter. She`ll forget about you".

Knowing it was for the best, Jaira took a deep breath and ignored her sisters lies. As subtley as possible she turned her neck and sent a look to the wizard that told him he would be anything but forgotton.

[Kaden]

Kaden caught the look, but didn't show that he did. What he did know though, was that now more than ever he couldn't let them leave. At least not until he knew exactly what they wanted with her. Knowing it was a mistake, he extended his arm and a large, wide wall of ice sprung up in front of the retreating wolves.

"Sorry, wizards have very good memories. Even if I wanted to forget, I wouldn't be able to." He said. "But I'm very understanding. So what are you planning to do with her?" The mage asked again.

[Jaira]

"Why do you insist on making us out to be the bad guys?" the sister responded slowly, the rest of the group too angry to speak, "Have you thought that maybe the object of your affections is playing a game with you too? Shes done it many times.. why dont you tell him, Jaira?"

"Kaden.."

"Shut up!", the second brother smacked the words off Jaira`s tongue, growling at the wizard. "I`m under instructions to keep this distreet, but if you dont take that wall down in a second I`ll have to rethink whats been asked of me"

[Kaden]

"Even if she is playing a game with me..." Kaden started to say, but not believing it. "...That doesn't mean I want anything...uh...bad to happen to her." He finished. This situation was getting more complicated by the moment, and he was trying his hardest to keep his calm.

The ice wizard visibly winced as Jaira was smacked. The wall grew larger in size at that moment. "Sorry about that." He said. "You hitting her kinda startled me."

[Jaira]

"You thought that startled you?", throwing Jaira violently into his brothers grasp his face took on a darker quality, "Then lets see what this will do to you". Approaching the wizard slowly, a smirk played on his arrogant lips, "Inject her" he snarled behind him to his delighted siblings.

[Kaden]

"I swear, if you inject her with anything, not one of us will ever leave this place." Kaden replied firmly, finally forgetting about diplomacy. He knew that threatening them was not the smart thing to do, but he was past doing the smart thing right now.

[Jaira]

"Oh, do shut up", he snarled, "Or you`ll ruin the show for all of us..."

"Father said not to..."

"FATHERS NOT HERE!", the brother turned on his sulking sister, his voice lowering into a bitter whisper, "She brought it upon herself".

Her teeth gritted in anger, Jaira stood defiant, restrained tightly by her younger brother. As her sister prepared the injection she winced only momentarily, hating herself for giving them the satisfaction. "Dont do this", she warned in vain.

[Kaden]

While their attention was turned on each other, Kaden got the needle in the sister's hands in his sights and quickly formed a small spike of ice, propelling it at the needle itself, hoping to destroy it and whatever was inside before it could be used.
