The needle burst, glass shattering in all directions at the squabling siblings.
Jaira`s gaze lifted to catch Kaden`s in shock. This left them one choice. With their attention detained a hard kick to her brothers leg gained her freedom. "We have to go, now!", she yelled to the wizard, grasping for his arm as she ran from the trio.
Behind them she could hear their anguished calls. Kaden had just signed his own death warrent.

He let himself be pulled along, not asking any questions. Running was one thing he was good at, and he definitely was a fast runner. Behind them, Kaden could hear the angry footsteps of the pursuing werewolves, all the while silently cursing himself. "Where are we going?" He asked the woman he now knew as Jaira.

"Do you trust me?!?", her voice came in ragged gasps as she swerved past a stunned pedestrian. As the two came to the edge of the city she waited for his nod of approval before taking a sharp turn left, "We have to get them off our scent. The Lakes"

More walls of ice were springing up as they ran, their purpose only to slow down the advancing werewolves. When they reached an intersection, the walls stopped so they wouldn't have a trail to follow. The lakes were coming into view ahead of the pair.
