The Morning After the Non-Night Before

[cassandra]

Walking in to the club Cassandra looked around to see if she recognized anyone. She wasn't very surprised when she didn't, as it was fairly early in the day. Walking over to the bar she asked to see Kaden. As the waitress left to go and get him Cassandra sqaured her shoulders and took a deep breath to steady herself. "This should just be oh, so much fun! she thought.

[Kaden]

Expecting to see one of the hunters waiting for him when the waitress came for him, Kaden came from the back of the bar, scythe in hand. At the sight of Cassandra, however, he sighed and re-strapped it to his back. Walking over to her, he leaned against the bar and smirked. "Can I help you?" He asked.

[cassandra]

"Hi Kade, ummm...well, I'm here to find out whether or not I still have a job, and if so, when do I start?"

[Kaden]

"Job?" Kaden asked with a confused expression. "Job, job....I don't remember giving you a job." He said, pretending to think.

[cassandra]

"Wow...Kaden, I thought you were a different type of person obviously. I'm not quite sure where you thought I was going with what I was saying, had you stayed and let me finish you might feel differently. I thought I had found a friend here, my bad. Sorry to have bothered you." So saying Cassandra turned to leave with a very hurt and confused expression on her face. She was totally confused as to what she had done that was so offensive.

[Kaden]

Despite the situation, Kaden started to laugh. "Ok, ok, wait, I'm sorry!" He called to her through his laughter, as she looked like she was leaving. "I was just kidding, but you should have seen your face!"

[cassandra]

Cassandra stopped and turned to look at him uncertainly. It had been a bad week, and she had started to feel like the ball in a game of kickball.

"Yes? she said rather uncertainly.

[Kaden]

"I was just playing around." He repeated. "Of course you still have the job, and you'll start....Actually, about that. Do you have any bartending experience?"

[cassandra]

"You have no idea!! I'm not sure how familiar you are with the south, but let me tell you...I worked the main bar at the Gold Club...does that tell you anything?"

[Kaden]

"Ah, okay then." Kaden said, understanding. "Tells me that I made an excellent business decision in hiring you. There's still a chance I won't run this place into the ground yet. Anyway, since you know what you're doing and won't require any training, you'll start tomorrow. Is that okay?"

[cassandra]

Almost staggering under the wave of releif she felt Cassandra replied, "That's more than okay Kaden, it's perfect!!. Also, ummmm...you left your jacket in my room last night. Would you like me bring it with me? Or, if that would be too awkward, you're welcome to come by later tonight and get it yourself." Cassandra wasn't sure which reply she wanted him to give, but she hoped she had made it plain he was welcome to come by if he wanted.

[Kaden]

"So THAT'S where I left it." Kaden realized, almost wanting to punch himself over his stupidity. "I love that jacket, so...I'll come get it later then. I hope I won't be intruding at all."

[cassandra]

The news made her happier than she had thought it would. Giving him her cat grin, she replied, "No intrusion at all, and I even had your jacket cleaned for you. I'll see you later on, then. G'bye."

[Kaden]

"You had it cleaned, wow thanks." Kaden said. "I mean, I know you're the reason it was messed up and all, but I still didn't expect you to actually clean it. Thanks again anyway, see you later."
