Cassandra LIVES!

[Fiona]

Fiona entered the club ahead of Blaine and walked directly to the bar. "Voda straight up, water back, please."

[cassandra]

"Rough day?" Cassandra asked sympathetically.

[Fiona]

"Yes, and this is the cure for it. Getting dressed up girl clothes, having a good stiff drink, a little dancing, and going out to dinner. There's not a lot that won't cure." Fiona said as she tossed back her vodka and chased it with the water.

[cassandra]

"That's my cure too!" Cassandra exclaimed. "Dinner at anyplace I don't have to unwrap my food, speak into a clown's mouth to order it....

[Fiona]

"....Or have anyone ask me if I want fries with it!" "Fiona finished for her. Looking at bartender strangely, Fiona asked her, "Do I know you? Have we met somewhere before?" It was uncanny the connection she already felt with her. Like she'd known her before, in another time and place or something. "Out of body experiences, meeting someone that you already know...this town is unreal so far!" Fiona thought to herself.

[cassandra]

"Hi, I'm Cassandra, and its great to meet you. I'm scared to say so, but it feels as if I may be making a friend in this town."

[Fiona]

"Well, I'm Fiona, and it's great to meet you as well, because I feel the same way. My reception here hasn't been the greatest. I'm new here, and I have been given strong hints that newcomers aren't welcome here at all. In spite of the fact that the town appears to be dying. Don't know what's up with that." Fiona mused.

[cassandra]

"Oh, I found the same kind of reception, believe that" Cassandra said emphatically. "It appears though that the ones who were so....'resistant' to newcomers have packed up and moved. I wish I could say I'm sorry to see them go, but I'm not. Word is that they've established another town, a long, long, ways from here. I think they'll be happier there, and I for one will be much happier with them there." Changing the subject Cassandra asked, "so where are you and your friend going for dinner after this?"

[Fiona]

"Well, I'd wanted to try out the Firefly, it looked so nice. However, there was an, ah, incident there earlier today, and I doubt that they'd of had time to repair it. So, I really don't know. Do you have any suggestions?"

[cassandra]

Knowing that things happened very quickly in Night World, Cassandra said, "I don't know if its been repaired or not, but I'm sure Kaden would. Hold on a second and I'll go get him Cassandra said over her shoulder as she headed to Kaden's office.

Entering the office she paused for a moment at the doorway, just watching Kaden work. She still wanted to pinch herself to make sure she was really here, and that he had indicated there was a chance for them. Stopping herself from getting all mushy she said to Kaden, "Kade there's a girl up front that I'd like you to meet. I like her, she didn't appear to hate me on sight either, and she's wondering if the Firefly has been repaired, or if not, if there's another nice place to go. Will you come up front and talk to her?"

[Kaden]

Looking up from the desk, he hadn't noticed her standing there until she said something. That was odd, but he shrugged it off. "Yeah, sure. No problem." Kaden said, closing the ledger and standing up, walking away from the desk and out the door back into the main room of the club. The smirk returned to his face when he saw who it was...sans green hair anyway.

"Oh, we've met Cassie." He said, approaching the bar near Fiona. "Well, sort of anyway. We haven't been formally introduced yet. I'm Kaden." The wizard added, extending his hand.

[blaine]

Finally spotting Fiona at the bar Blaine walked up and sat down beside her. "You really do look beautiful tonight Fi," he said. Smirking he said, "too bad Donovan isn't here to enjoy it."

[Fiona]

Ignoring both both the compliment and the dig, Fiona looked up in pleased surprised when she saw who was speaking. Taking the wizard's hand she said, "And I'm Fiona. Sorry I didn't get the chance to thank you earlier. What you did was amazing, and I'm thanking you now. Cassandra said you would know whether or not the Firefly was back in business, or if not, another nice place we could go for a late dinner?"

[Kaden]

"No thanks necessary really. Um...as for the Firefly, I'm sorry but no, they're not re-opened yet. The fire caused more damage than I thought before I stopped it, not to mention the water damage from melting the ice I used to stop the fire itself." Kaden answered a bit sheepishly. "I would absolutely not suggest the cafe though, I don't even like going in there anymore when there's daylight, much less at night."

Realizing he'd brought nothing but bad news so far, he cleared his throat. "Those are the only actual places to have dinner around here, but if it's romanticism you're looking for, there's always the idea of a picnic near the lake. It's beautiful at night."

[Fiona]

Feeling the need to correct the assumption that Kaden appeared to have made, Fiona said, "I'd like you to meet my friend Blaine. My boyfriend isn't in town at the moment, so he's escorting me tonight. So, romanticism isn't exactly what I had in mind, I'm afraid."
