A table for two

[trent]

Trent walks back into the hallway after depositing his armor back into his room..looking around he sees the the girl with the strange accent is no where to be seen he nods and smiles to himself.

Walking down the stairs he is assaulted with some type of techno dance music....

"Ack..this music sucks!"

He looks around the club surveying the people in the club some do the same to him once he sees a open table he makes his way over but before sitting down he looks around the club one more time till his gaze rest on Cassandra and Kaden mingling here and there with other people once Cassandra sees Trent standing near a table she motions Kaden to follow but Trent upholds his right hand and motions just to her,Kaden looks to be on the verge of a explosion once again but Cassandra clams him down she slowly makes her way over to him.

"Hi, Trent, what's up?" Cassandra asked him as she approached his table.

Trent motions Cassandra to sit down once doing so he looks her over......

"Well given the raucous that happened a few days ago you look well enough but then again with that rather chipper greeting you just gave me......."

Cassandra looks like she is ready quip off something but Trent hold his hand up to forestall any comments.

"Sorry i'm just a little agitated with the events that gone by and more importantly some information i've come across the past two days but i'm glad you seem to be doing ok,just don't dwell on it something like that can be a emotional block or something that strength and power can be made of if you look at it in the right light."

Cassandra looks at Trent in silence not quite believing something resembling compassion just came out of his mouth.She tosses Kaden a quick glance to see that his full attention is directly on her seeing this Tent lets out a rather dejected sigh which immediately brings Cassandra to look at him with a rather puzzled look.

"You honestly and truly love him don't you?" Trent pauses a second while looking at her "for that i'm truly sorry for the both of you."

Cassandra just states at Trent looking like she not to sure what to say.

"Yes, I honestly and truly love him. With everything I have. With everything I am. Why do you pity us for that? Most would envy us." Cassandra stared into Trent's eyes as she told him this, not liking the feelings she was getting off him one bit. "He's more than he's represented himself to be" Cassandra thought. "I might have made a mistake in hiring him." It began to dawn on Cassandra that if Trent's loyalties were for sale, then someone with more money could have gotten to him......and he could, at that very moment, be working for them.

Trent meets Cassandra's stare with his own icy blue stare.the beginnings of a smirk begins to form on his face but it's quickly replaced by a sad wistful smile....

"You honestly don't understand do you? well here and now not the time to explain this situation to you or if i'm the one..once we're done that vampire friend of yours umm Fiona? is it? may be a better choice to talk this over with."

Cassandra seems to want to say something but Trent stops her before hand.

"Once we're done Cassandra then we will talk but for now I require you and Kadens presence in my room.I have things to show you but more importantly it's not safe here for you or for me in this town anymore....come to my room now."

Trent gets up from the table looks at Kaden and motions for him to come over as he makes his way up stairs.

Trent shrugs when he sees Cassandra wave Kaden back but continues on upstairs.Once he reaches his room he opens the door and motions for Cassandra to enter,she does.

Once in the room as all people do Cassandra scans the room looking at the things that occupy it and her gaze immediately comes to the chest at foot of the bed,on top of it rest a sheafed katana, two daggers and a host of cylindrical objects...by the side of the chest rest a suit of jet back body armor.Trent enters the room closes the door and gestures to the rooms only chair for Cassandra to sit.

Trent walks over to the table opens up the screen of a laptop and powers it on. "You will want to look at this. click on the file marked as things of interest."

Trent stands behind Cassandra as she begins to look at the images on the computer.

Cassandra lookks at the screen in disbelief. I...I...don't understand," she stuttered. "This is a complete map of Night World, and information on mine and Kaden's habits...and...well, everything about us....WHERE DID YOU GET THIS?"Cassandra yelled at him, disbelief being replaced by fury.

Trent smirks at Cassandra,"Clearly you underestimate the power of my organization.We make it habit to know anything and everything we can find out about our "clients" for one as powerful as us also means we have just as powerful enemies and it's not a uncommon thing for a "client" to be a set up for a trap."

Trent sits on the edge of the bed and motions for Cassandra to go back to the laptop,"if you would be as kind to look at the photo images instead of the map and dossiers i have on you and Kaden notice how recent they are and pay in particular the images of the three of us together in various places."

Trent sighs out loud

"Those photos were intercepted being transmitted via internet from here in this town."

Trent stays quiet to let Cassandra digest the information,as Cassandra looks at the photo she comes to the final one and it's the picture of a extremely beautiful redheaded woman,Cassandra turns to Trent "Who is this?"

Trent seems to stare off into space as if remembering something...his voice trembles as he speaks.

"Her name is Violet Temigast"

"Okay, now...who the hell is she?" Cassandra asked shortly.

Once Cassandra sharply ask the question again Trent seems to come out of his daydream....

"All you need know about her is that your father more than likely sent her here to kill you."

Cassandra acts like she is gonna say something but Trent cuts her short

"I know what you were gonna say but know this it is well within her "power" to kill you....catch my drift? even if you Kaden and I were to confront her I'd be very leery of our chances of winning that fight....no matter we leave for your homeland tomorrow I have a safe house set up where we can lay our plans for your raid once we get there.Now off with you!!! go get ready."

Trent no to gently ushers Cassandra out of his room.

"Like i said be ready to leave tomorrow first light." with that Trent closes the door on a very perplexed Cassandra.

Trent walks over to the laptop and sits down in the chair just staring at the image on the screen after a few moments he reaches under his shirt and pulls out a simple necklace that loped thru a plain golden band,he looks at the band for what seems like a enternity....

"By the good god Osric Violet are you here for her or me?"
