Cassandra ran through the bar, straight to the back where she and Kaden had been living. Jumping on the bed, she began grabbing covers and pillows, yelling the entire time, "Kaden! Kaden! Baby! Wake up! I got a surprise! Wake up!"

His eyes snapped open at the sudden uproar, and he sat straight up. Realizing it was Cassandra freaking out over something, Kaden sighed. "I'm up, I'm up." He said, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. "Now what is it?"

"Get up! You have to get dressed and come and see! I...we...well, that is...I mean..." Realizing that she just might be in a little bit of trouble Cassandra's words started faltering. After all, she had just bought an entire house, without the man's approval! "Baby, I hope you won't get mad or anything, but I sorta bought....a...house!" She waited anxiously for his reaction, totally unsure now of just what it was going to be.

"Yeah yeah, I'm getting dressed, I'll be right - Wait, what?" Kaden said, finally snapping out of his sleep stupor. "You bought a house?! Where'd you get the money to? Why didn't you say anything to me before? Why did - You bought a house?"

"I got money! I've been working since I was 16 years old and I've lived very cheaply and vagabondishly since then! So, yes, I bought a house. For us. A whole house. Oh, it needs some work, a little spit and polish, but I'm good at fixing things up....I think...Anyways, its nice and solid and has more than one room and its OURS! If you don't say you're happy I'll die, I swear!" Cassandra was almost in tears at the stony look on Kaden's face.

Seeing the look on her face told him she was only exaggerating a tiny bit. "I'm happy, I'm happy love. I'm very happy about this, it's just...a surprise, that's all!" Kaden said. "Um...just..come on. Show me the house." He added quickly.
