He waited a few minutes then followed her into the bar area. "Now or never he thought " he had to speak to her , had to lay his cards on the table but knew the vampire complication gutted him , it also angered him " Damn them he thought " first my men and now a woman i am in love with "
He was next to her before he realized it .
" I need to talk , now ." he whispered as he walked past. " follow me to the toilet "
He walked purposely away from her hoping she would follow.

Lilys heart started to race and she glanced around the room to see if anyone else had noticed. She got up from her stool and panicked. She wasn't sure where she stood with Vlad and didn't have a clue what he wanted to talk to her about , but she followed cautiously. Turning the corner there he was there waiting for her.

Even though he wanted her to come and speak to him , he was still shocked when she appeared. H e had to keep himself calm . His anger towards the vampire race was battling with his other emotions.
" So , is it true , your a vampire" he said trying to hide the anger in his voice.

Lily was taken back by the question. "Yes and what of it ?" she answered her blood starting to boil , he had spoken the word vampire like it was a dirty word, who did he think he was . "Is that a problem with you ?"

" A problem with it . no its more than that . " he looked at her , a sudden urge to grab her around the neck and then it was gone .
" my unit was wiped out by vampires , ever since i have made it my personal mission to destroy them. but ......." he faltered. He looked at her and had another urge , a totally different one to last time . He moved closer to her so his face was up close and personal to hers . He looked into her eyes and longed to see some emotion coming back but there was none .
"There .... there is something about you. Something i havnt felt for years. I cant deal with it at the moment and need to concentrate on this raid but ......." He couldnt say it . He felt stupid and angry at himself.
He stepped back giving her space. " say something " he thought .

Lily was taken back by the vemon in his voice and for a moment she faltered , her hesitation was soon replaced by anger "I'm sorry about your unit but your not the only one that knows about loss. My parents were killed by vampire hunters and for the longest time I hunted and killed every slayer I could find." She softened as he moved closer hating the weakness he made her feel "But it never brought me any peace " she added more quietly "I vowed never to take another human life along time ago and I ment it "
As he took a step back she realised she had been holding her breath "Damn you " she said as a single tear trickled from her eye "Look what you have done"

"Emotion" he realised. he had never seen this in a vampire before despite the number of those who had met their end at his hand. none had begged or gried or shown any form of emotion before and he was taken aback.
" We seem to have a problem then , but there may be a way to solve it " he didnt really know how but knew there was a chance.
he reached up and wiped the tear from her cheek , then taking her face in his hands kissed her lightly on the lips.
He stepped back his heart pounding his blood coursing through his veins.
" sorry " he said " couldnt help myself "
So much pain and hurt inside such a beautiful woman. Maybe he could help and maybe she could help him. They had both been wronged but could it be righted ...

Lily was taken off guard by his kiss , but found herself returning it , her hand working its way up to rest on his. For a moment she forgot where she was ,her stomach in knots. As he pulled away from her she looked into his eyes, the earlier anger now replaced by a softness she hadn't seen before "Im sorry " she said " I ... I have to go, people will be looking for me " Not knowing what else to say she turned and walked away as quickly as she could manage without running , trying with all her might to hold back the tears.
