Narym was lying on her bed, fully dressed, when Fallow interrupted her lonely thoughts.
'I have a message from Syn. Little Lily is well and has found Cassandra.'
She sat up. ' Where are they?'
'At the castle.'
'The castle?' She got up and started strapping on her weapons.
'It seems Cassandra has taken up residence. Little Lily has asked
that you go and see them and bring some of her belongings with you.'
'Her belongings?'
'Do I hear an echo?'
'An echo?' Narym laughed. 'Tell her I'm on my way!' Relieved, Narym started opening drawers and packing Lily's clothes into an old back pack.
'Have you any idea what's going on?'
The dragon huffed. ' Syn is as baffled as I am. But he is also aware of the area of darkness. Maybe we will find answers there.'
Narym ran outside and along the empty street, to where Fallow was waiting. She climbed onto his back and he took flight immediately.
