Eli stood in the middle of the barn with a torch and match, and a bottle of whiskey. He didn't particularly like the stuff, but it was high enough alcohol content for what he needed it for. He climbed the ladder, up into the lift, where he went to the hay bale. He moved it, revealing his suitcase. He opened it up. Everything was still there, all the money, and his wrist guards. He regretted leaving his gloves in the Badlands. He looked around and moved more junk, revealling another suitcase. He opened it up and looked inside. It lo9oked like it was full of females clothes. 'Cassiel's,' Eli thought, smiling. Eli brought down both suitcases and set them by the door. 'This barn has caused a lot of trouble for me, but sadly, it gave me a glimpse.' Eli recalled Cassiel walking into the barn and it saved him from staking himself. His blank eyes scanned the area. There wasn't anything else there worth saving. Eli put the suitcases by the door, and struck the match, and lit the torch. He held it up, looking at it, picturing the barn becoming nothing more than a pile of rubble. 'No more bad place,' Eli thought as he recalled Cassiel living there, miserable, the whole while keeping himself hidden from her until the time was right. 'Cass, this is so you don't ever have to think about this place again.' Eli whent by the door and took a swig of the whisky, and brought the torch near his mouth.

Cassiel walked into the barn, planning on getting some of her things. She saw Eli drinking from the bottle of whiskey and tipping the torch toward his mouth. and screamed. Making a quick decision, Cassiel jumped at Eli and grabbed the torch from his hand, burning her own in the process, but she didn't notice.
She landed hard on the ground, the torch was knocked out of her hand and landed on the ground in a pile of dry hay which immediately ignited. "No!" she yelled, for reasons unknown, she didn't want the barn to burn.
Cassiel remembered how she did magic when she was locked in the dungeon. I have to be emotional and I have to know the words. she thought I need water, what did I use before. Then she remembered, "Pluvialis" she yelled, letting her fear through.
A llight mist dampened everything and the fire went out. Cassiel looked at Eli, still standing by the door. They were both soaking wet. "What just happened?" she asked him quietly.

Eli stood there, totally emotionless. The barn was sucking everything out of him. He spit out the whisky that was going to fuel the fire. "Why do you want to save it? You lived here, you were miserable, I saw it." Eli looked at Cassiel, eyes still conveying no emotion.#nosmileys

For a moment, Cassiel didn't do or say anything. Then she walked over to Eli, put her hand on his head, and pulled him close, kissing him passionately. They were bathed in a soft light, coming from the half open door, and surrounded by a fine mist.

Eli snapped awake, not fully understanding where he was, but he fully understood that was Cassiel kissing him passionaltely. He kissed her just as passionately. When he finally broke the embrace, he asked "What was I about to do?"

Cassiel didn't answer his question right away. Very softly she whispered "desino," then, "siccus." The mist stopped, and most everything in the barn started to dry out, tho it was still slightly damp.
She took Eli's hand and led him to a dry bale of hay. "Eli," she said, "You were about to torch this place, and yourself along with it. You would have succeeded too if I hadn't come to get my things. I found you here drinking whiskey with the torch by your mouth. So I grabbed the torch and it started a small fire." Cassiel gestured to the charred mark on the floor. "I think I burned my hand too, but I can't feel it." The palm of Cassiel's hand had severe burns on it from when she grabbed the torch, but she ignored it. "Eli, what happened?"

Eli was shaking, trying to recount what he had done and why. "The barn, I saw you here. Before, earlier, like right before we met at the club. You were miserable. So I came to get both of our stuff out, then I was going to get rid of the barn, and away go the bad memories. Away in a ball of fire." Eli looked at Cassiel's hand and started to cry. "Why do I keep doing this? Every time I do something, I put someone at risk of getting hurt. Why?" Eli sunk down, hurting inside because of his playing with fire got Cassiel hurt.

"No, no, please don't cry." Cassiel knelt down on the ground, and took Eli's hands in her good one. Looking up at him she said, "I didn't mean to make you upset, you didn't mean for me to get hurt, you didn't even know I was coming."

Eli tried to stop crying, but it wasn't much use. "No, it's still my fault. we said we'd meet here after the restraunt, and I came here to get our stuff, and torch the barn before you got here. I didn't mean to hurt you. Because you keep saving me from myself." Eli pulled Cassiel in and gave her a big hug. "I guess I shouldn't try to get rid of the things that bother me," he whispered.

Cassiel kissed Eli and gently wiped the tears off his cheeks. Then she winced. "I've got to take care of this." she said, looking at her hand.
Cassiel grabbed her bag and took bandages, tape, and a vial of a green solution. She took the cork out of the vial with her mouth, and kept the cork between her teeth. Looking at Eli, she poured the solution over the burn on her hand. Instantly tears sprung to her eyes, she bit down hard on the cork, and dropped the vial. Cassiel grabbed Eli's hand and squeezed it hard. The solution fizzed on her hand burnt hand and she waited for it to stop, not looking away from Eli's eyes.

ELi looked into Cassiel's eyes and shed a single tear. He could tell that she was in pain right now. He was too choked up to speak, but he did manage to whisper, "I'm sorry" as the solution continued to fizzle on her hand.

As the solution stopped fizzing, it formed a hard coating on Cassiel's plam, protecting the burn. She wrapped it with a bandage, and took the cork out of her mouth. Cassiel sat next to Eli again and kissed him. "I forgot how much that hurt. I'm sorry to scare you. Oh!" Cassiel exclaimed, "I almost forgot, I made something for you."
She searched through her bag until she found a small velvet bag. Cassiel opened the velvet bag and reached inside. She pulled out two necklaces with silver chains, one chain very thin, and the other thicker. She gave the necklace with the thicker chain to Eli. Upon further inspection, it was an exact replica of the dagger Cassiel's father made. It even had small stones in it. "I made one for me too, they match. If you don't like it, you don't have to keep it." She blushed.

Eli looked at the necklace, and smiled. Hey, that's the..." Eli didn't finish. He put it around his neck, making sure it was secure, and smiled. "Thanks, I love it." Eli then put his arm around her, just holding her, sitting peacefully in the barn.

Cassiel put hers on, and blushed. "I am still learning the magic, but when I am done with the one spell, we will be able to use them to communicate. Right now, They are magicked so that if one of us is seriously injured or.. umm... worse," Cassiel stopped for a second and swallowed hard before continuing, "the other one will know."

Eli blinked, he couldn't bear that thought. He was impressed, however, that they could be apart and not have to worry too much about each other getting hurt. But then he smiled. "At least we don't have to worry about each other when we're apart. But I'd rather not be apart and see how these things warn us."
