Tate ran into the barn quickly in his other form. He scanned the area with his wolf eyes and made sure that there was no one there. Then he changed back to his human form once he was positive there was no one there. He sat down on a pile of hay waiting for the others to get there.

Cassiel walked in, her usual bag of supplies on her back, and a red notebook in her hand. She sat down next to Tate. "Who are we waiting on?" she asked.

Tate shrugged.
"I am not for sure... I know that Tamuril was with us in the streets, but nobody else said they were coming..."

"Alright, well let's get this started then. But, first thing's first." Cassiel got up and sprinkled a red powder at the doors and each of the windows, including the ones in the loft. When she returned she explained to Tate, "If Eli and Drake were not here, I don't know what would have happened. In the state I was in, I was in no shape to escape, but if I did, results would have been bad. I didn't know where I was and I had regressed to the age I saw I was when I took the potion. I don't know how it will be for you, but I fear if you fly into a rage or get frightened you may try to escape. The potion I put around the windows and doors will stop you from getting out."
Cassiel started to prepare the potion. She looked up at Tate, "Oh, do you have anything from the time that you don't remember? It will help with the spell."

Tate nodded as Cassiel explained. When she asked, he wasn't sure, because he couldn't remember the time. He thought for a minute and his face lightened up. He bent down and rolled his pantleg up.
"I remember having this as long as I can remember... It is magical though, so I don't know if that will effect the spell or not."
Once he lifted his pantleg, it revealed a rope looking anklet. he wrapped his hand around a part of it and it started to glow a deep orange, almost red, it looked like the color of the sun when it is setting. It came off his ankle and he handed it over to Cassiel.

Grinning, Cassiel said, "A magical item! That is actually better then a non magical item. The spell should bring you back to the time that you were given that anklet. It's time to start now." Cassiel sat down on the ground and drew a circle around her and Tate. Then she drew a pentagram in the dirt. On each point she put a different vial. In the center she put a small cauldron. She lit a fire under the cauldron, then, going clockwise starting with the top of the pentagram, Cassiel combined the potion ingrediants into the cauldron. "Pure water from the lake to bind you to this place, angelica root for protection, hematite powder for memory, quartz mixed with dragon's blood for time travel, and powdered unicorn horn for courage." The potion was brought to a boil and Cassiel stopped the flame. As the potion cooled it shimmered blue. Using a levitation spell, Cassiel poured all of the potion in a glass. Then she spoke the incantation very softly Erinys, walker of the mists, traveller of time, bestow your blessing on the potion. I humbly ask you, Guide the drinker of the memory potion through time and space and return him home safely to us Looking up at Tate, Cassiel said, "It is time. When you drink the potion you will be brought back to another time and place, all except your body. Your physical body will be safe. I cannot tell you what will happen to you when you return. it is different for everyone." She handed him the glass. "I wish you the best of luck and hope you find happiness in your past."

Tate nodded to Cassiel and grasped the glass with the potion in it tightly in his hand. He held it up to his lips, his hands shaking vigorously. He drank down the whole glass and his body fell back to where he was lying on his back.
The world around Tate had turned black and when he could see again, he was standing in the snow in the middle of a forest, in front of a very large log cabin. Tate walked closer to the cabin and put his hand out to the doorknob, when he went to grap it, his hand went right through it. He looked down at himself and he seemed almost transparent. Then he remembered, he is not physically there.
He stepped through the door and saw what was happening inside. There was a lady standing in a kitchen area, she looked around 25. She was stirring a pot, that looked like a cauldron. There was steam coming out of it and she was chanting some words.
There was a man that looked around the same age standing right next to her, chanting with her, except different words. The cauldron was boiling and the steam was turning colors. The man stopped chanting for a second and went over to a cupboard and grabbed a glass out of it.
Tate stopped watching them for a while because out of the corner of his eye, he saw someone else, sitting on the carpet in what must have been a living room. The boy that was sitting there must have been around 13 or 14. When Tate saw him all the way, he gasped. He looked identical to Tate, he had finally found himself.
He went back to looking at the two adults at the cauldron. They both reached down and rolled their pantlegs up. They each took of woven, rope anklets, that looked much like the one that he just gave Cassiel. They each held them in their hands and chanted words together. Both anklets started to glow a deep blue, almost black. They lifted up off the adults hands and joined together, to form one anklet, glowing red. The father grabbed it and held it in his hand. The mother and the father both put their hand over the cauldron and said one sentance together and the the smoke stopped coming out of the cauldron. The father dipped the anklet into the cauldron and brought it back out, it was still completely dry. The filled the cup up with the potion too. The mother waved her hand over the pot and it disappeared.
They both walked over to the boy sitting on the carpet and sat down on the ground next to him. A tear ran down the mother's face and the boy wiped it off. The little Tate looked up to his mom then over to his dad "Mom, Dad, I want to help you fight this, you can't leave me, I will help you fight, I know I am not a wizard like you two, but shifters are strong too." Tears ran down both of the parents faces as the dad spoke to him now. "Son, we are not fighting anymore, we are done fighting, we give up" The mother nodded, she was crying too hard to speak. "You two can't leave me alone, what will I do"
They heard breaking of branches outside and the young Tate closed his eyes, tears welling up. The mother wrapped her arms around her son now "You can't remember this, is will traumatize you forever. That is why you have to wear this" She wrapped his knotted the anklet around his ankle as it started to glow red. "And you have to drink this..." She scooted the glass towards him. And both the parents said together "We love you son" The both gave him a quick hug and they opened the hall closet and motioned him in, with the fingers on their lips.
Young Tate got in and they handed him the potion. They closed the closed door and he heard the front door being broken open. As Tate stood in the living room, he saw people come in and chant words and the next thing he saw was his parents falling on the floor, he didn't know if they were just unconcious or dead, he guessed dead. But if they weren't then the red light coming from their hands, were surely killing them. They dragged them out and he knew young Tate had drank the potion. Tate yelled and everything around him became black again.
Tate's eyes shot open and he grew wolf claws and his tail came out and his eyes turned jet black, along with his hair.

Cassiel watched Tate slump backwards, his eyes blank. She new the potion was working, and that Tate was probably going through one of the hardest things he'd ever had to do.
Suddenly, Tate's eyes shot opened and he started transforming. Cassiel sat very still, moving only her eyes. She was very worried that he would snap and attack her, and she didn't want to interfere with the process if she didn't have to. Having gone through it all herself, she knew that the healing process had not yet begun and he was probably in shock.

Tate shot up into a sitting position and stared at Cassiel. He couldn't control what he was doing, but he was using all his willpower to not hurt Cassiel. Though he didn't even really know what was going on. He dug his claws into the ground underneath him and sat there as his hair slowly rose to being spiked.

"Tate," Cassiel said, "just relax. You are safe now. We are in the barn in Night World. You took a potion to remember your past. Close your eyes and just breathe." She was speaking very calmly and softly to try and calm Tate down.

Tate watched Cassiel and then fell backwards again.
Tate stood inside the same cabin again and when he looked around he saw that it was completely trashed. He walked over to the closet where young Tate had gone in, last time he saw him. When he stepped through the door, young Tate was in there still.
Tate looked over and saw the full glass on potion on the ground next to him still. I could've sworn that he drank it Tate thought to himself. Young Tate was shaking vigorously and was crying hystarically too. He needs to drink it, but obviously he does, because I can't remember any of this...
Tate decided he had seen enough there, it was too sad. He walked through the closet door again and looked at the trashed house and shook his head, as a tear ran down his face. Tate clenched his left hand together, and felt a sharp pain in his hand. The world went black around him again.
He woke up in the barn next to Cassiel, all normal except his tail and claws were still out. His real body had clenched it's fist when he did as well, and so his hand was cut and bleeding badly. He didn't sit up.

Cassiel saw the blood coming from Tate's clenched fist. Gently she pried it open and saw that Tate's own claws had cut his hand. She applied a healing solution to his hand, then wrapped it.

Tate tried sitting up and somewhat suceded. He sat there leaning on his hands and looking at Cassiel.
"Sorry, I will try and change back now..."
Tate closed his eyes and his claws and tail went in slowlu, he sighed in relief that it worked.

"Don't apoligize," Cassiel said, "there is no reason to. How are you feeling? You are so much stronger then me, it took me hours to come out of it."
