Hearts Destruction

[Cassiel]

Cassiel was rendered completely motionless by the pain for a few seconds, but she had endured the beginnings of the curse so many times that she was able to fight through the pain. She didn't want Donner to know that though. Suddenly she saw Tate on his knees in pain. And an idea came to her. Cassiel slowly crawled over to where Donner was standing, as though every movement caused her pain. As she crawled she spoke to him, begging, letting all her pain through. Please don't do this anymore. You were right, I don't want to die. Please make the pain stop. Cassiel collapsed at his feet like she could move no more.

[Kaden]

Donner was surprised as Tate showcased his pain. His brow raised. "Ah, so he's a shifter as well..." He noted, turning his attention back to Cassiel. He didn't retract the curse, instead he smirked evilly at her. "Hand me the book, or you'll continue to suffer." He told her. "Only then will the pain stop."

[Tate Belegorn]

Tate opened his eyes wide and watched Cassiel, trying to get Donner to stop it. Though he couldn't move, because he had only endured it once before. The necklace kept getting more black, and soon his hands, which were still on his head, turned black as well.

[Cassiel]

Cassiel saw Tate out of the corner of her eye and knew she had to do something right away. She couldn't stand to see her friend hurting so badly. Cassiel knew that the curse would stop once the spellcaster's mind was on something else. Suddenly she pounced on Donner scratching everything she could get her claws on and bit him hard in the shoulder. She felt him stumble backwards and hoped she hit him with enough force that he lost his balance.

[Kaden]

Donner's smirking face quickly changed into one of anger and pain as the panther somehow pounced on him through the pain. His concentration broken, the curse was broken as well as he fell backwards, landing hard on his back. Even through his pain, he still had his wits about him having spent over 100 years fighting. He pulled out the staff Kaden always had with him, and jammed the end of it into the panther's stomach.

[Tate Belegorn]

Tate's headache was almost immediately gone and he saw Donner shove Kaden's staff into Cassiel. He gasped, and changed into Fang quickly, changing completely. He growled loudly, and pounced on top of Donner too.

[Kaden]

Angered beyond belief at what was supposed to be simple turning into this battle, Donner extended a spear of ice out of the unoccupied end of the staff and slashed Tate's wolf-dog form in the side with it.

[Tate Belegorn]

Fang fell sideways, wimpering. But not giving up. He jumped towards the staff this time, hoping to hit it just right, to knock it out of his hands.

[Cassiel]

Cassiel let out a yowl of pain when Kaden's staff was shoved into her stomach. She rolled off of him just in time to see Tate attack. Tate, no! she shouted, but it was too late. Donner had already stabbed him with some sort of spear made of ice. She was helpless to do anything until her breath came back, but while she was trying to breathe, she was already planning her next attack. When she could finally breathe again, Cassiel changed forms and grabbed the book. "Hey Donner, want the book? Leave Tate alone and we'll talk, otherwise, I'm burning it."

[Kaden]

Donner had rolled out of the way of Tate's next attack. He shot to his feet and the rod was out, ready to block another attack. "I'm listening, cat."

[Cassiel]

"You tell me why someone would want to destroy this book and maybe I will give it back to you. If you don't, well..." Cassiel reached inside her bag and pulled out vial of green liquid. She poured a tiny bit onto the corner of book and it burned the corner away. She watched Donner's reaction to see if what she thought was true.

[Kaden]

Donner visibly winced as the book was partially burnt. He felt the continuous growth of power begin to stagnate as the book was almost wholly destroyed. "Kiya...wanted to destroy the book because she hates me." Donner saud simply.

[Kiya]

"I more then hate you" Kiya spoke sharply from the door, her eyes red with lack of sleep. "Destroy it, Cass"

[Kaden]

Donner's eyes snapped over to the doorway when he heard Kiya's voice. Dammit. This...complicates matters. He thought. The thought of casting the spell again crossed Donner's mind, but that was a very powerful spell and it took a lot of experience for the body to handle that kind of magic. While Donner's body could have, this was Kaden's first experience with the spell and his body wouldn't be able to handle it. Grumbling under his breath, Donner sighed. "Alright. Go ahead. Destroy it. Get rid of the only link between my mind and the outside world, thereby trapping me in here forever...AGAIN." He finished.

[Cassiel]

Cassiel looked up sharply as she heard her friend's voice from the door. Her eyes widened when she saw how Kiya looked. She dumped the acid on the center of the book and the book started to smoke. The acid at away through the book and began dripping onto the floor of the barn. "Sorry Donner. I don't trust you. Kiya, he knows the curse. If he uses it, tell Eli I love him."
