Kiya entered the barn much more settled then she had left the forest. The steady return of her power had been fuelled into warming herself; however, her thoughts had been elsewhere - so much so she couldn`t remember anything in between Kadens leave and her arrival here.
She had decided it was fitting to destroy the book in the place she had first heard about it. Tracing it`s outline she fought the emotions rising within her once again and threw it to the ground.

Fang ran into the slightly open gate into the barn. He was planning on just laying on a haystack, and falling asleep, since his house hadn't fully dethawed yet. When he entered he saw Kiya and let out a small howl on accident. He slowly sat down on the ground, slightly covered with straw and hay. Looking up at Kiya, she didn't know Tate was a shifter.

Kiya jumped at the howl, ripped instantly from her melancholy thoughts. In her distracted state, she mistook the shifter for a lone dog, "Move boy..." she ushered him out of the barn, "I`ve got to do something in here"

Fang let out a small whine as Kiya tried to usher him away. Around his fur began to get a dark aura to it. And Kiya wasn't able to push him any farther. Fang let out another whine and the dark aura went away, he ran to the other side of the barn, almost scared of himself.

Thats no ordinary dog Kiya realised with shock. Looking closer she realised she didnt know what the animal was. Suddenly a thought came to her, what if Donner was trying to send her mad? Trying to stop her destroying the book?
I wont let him she answered herself, heading back to the book, and ignoring the 'vision' of the animal.

Fang layed down on a bale of hay, concentrating as hard as he could. He let out a bark to get Kiya's attention, he has gone through a lot with her, probably more than anyone else in this town, and he knew her best. He figured that she would be trusthworthy enough to tell her what he really was. So once he was sure she was looking at him, he slowly, transformed all the way back into Tate Belegorn.

Tate gave her a small fake smile.
"Yeah, I am not very open with people about it... I guess I call it... my element of surprise... I'm sorry."
He looked down to the ground.

"Wow" she suddenly became selfconscious about the book at her feet. Willing him not to look at it, she pulled at her hair nervously, "so you`re a shifter? what kind of animal was that?"

Tate looked up, feeling a little better about it, on the way up to Kiya's face, he noticed a book at her feet, but ignored it for the time being.

Tate noticed her trying to hide it for some reason, but again ignored it for now.
"Somewhat."
Tate blushed slightly, only one person knew of his... troubles, and that was Cassiel.
