<Star?> Cassiel asked, talking only to her and blocking her thoughts from the man, <Do you want me to let him go, or do you need something from him first?>

Star looked up at Cass and sent back "do as you pleas... he stoped being my father the day he first hit me" she turned away...
"oh no she is the thing she took" he said evily and tryed to wiggle free...his eyes turned a bright yellow as he layed there...

Cassiel slashed him across the face with a set of sharp claws. <You will get up when I say you can.> She said angrily. <I am going to let you up, but if you even try something, I will be on you so fast you are going to wish you were never born. I don't care if that sounds cliche.>
Cassiel backed up until she was off the man, but standing right at his feet. Her muscles were tensed so that she could pounce on him if he tried anything.

he chuckled evily as she realeased him and insted of going after Star once more he turned to attack Cass .... the wound she gave him bleed lightly and his left cheeck was smeard in blood....
Star gasped and ran to try and put her self between them to keep her friend from getting hurt....

Cassiel saw what Star was trying to do. Poor kid, probably had to fight off this poor excuse for a man her whole life Cassiel thought. Cassiel just had to make it right.
<This is my fight now too, Star.> Cassiel said. <He hurts my friends, he hurts me.> And with that, Cassiel pounced at the man, aiming her bite at his knee.

he lost his balance when Cass grabbed his nae and toppled to the ground "cheap move" he hissed as he sat there glaring at her then at Star ....
Star stopped just out of reach of her father ... her body trembled badly at how close she was to him and if she was not already in her shifter form she would have Shirley shifted right then.... " just be carefull... he has many was of inflicting pain..." she lowered her head slightly as she met her fathers glare with her own "you may have beaten me at home and you might do so hear when i least expect it but ... i will not let you hurt my friends!" she hissed at him ....
seeing Star was only inches from reach he looked at Cass then in one move hurtled himself at Cass a dagger on his right hand and stone in the other ....

Surprised by the man's sudden shift in movement, Cassiel backed up and tripped over a fallen tree behind her. As she fell, she saw the deadly blade of the dagger pointed at her heart. Because she was her panther form, she was able to quickly bound to her feet, the dagger missing her my mere inches.
As the man struggled to pull the dagger out of the log that Cass fell over, she shifted and pulled her dagger out from her boot. Streightening up, Cassiel was a second too late to realize that he had thrown the rock he had in his other hand. Threatened by the deadly blade, Cassiel had forgotten about the rock until it clipped her in the temple.
Cassiel fell to the ground, only half conscious from the blow she took to her head. When she tried to get back up, just the act of opening her eyes brought a wave of nausea over her, and she collapsed back to the ground. Cassiel's only hope was that Star's new resolve to resist her father would hold out until she could regain full consciousness.

Star gasped as her father attack Cassiel ... her eyes flashed angerly when she saw him hit Cass and quickly shifting into her form charged him with teeth bard...
apon reaching him she firmly grabbed his shoulder and drug him awaly from Cass .... her teeth broke skin and her mouth filled with his blood as she pulled him further from her friend... once she was at a safe distane from her she turned to her father after realiseing him ...
he laid on the ground with an evil grin on his face as she stood there ... blood lightly driped from her mouth though it was not her own .... "you hurt my friend.... no one hurts my friends!" her voice was cool and calm...
she charged her father with hooves flying she did not see he that he had an orb filled with black magick an that he threw it at her... when it hit her she fell hard to the ground .... he disapeard from site yelling "i will be back!"
Star layed there unmoveing as the orb sank deep into her and keeped her from moveing... after a wile it wore off enuf that she could stand up and slowly she half drug half walked over to Cass and fell to the ground "Cass... you ok?" her voice was almost a wisper and pain showed clearly in her eyes...
