Kiya hid behind the hay with Tsjata, torn between protecting her daughter and seeking revenge upon the one who had stolen all from her.
She didnt like leaving Zane with him either.
As she wrapped her arms securely around her daughter, Kiya positioned herself to watch Micheal appear. Her teeth setting in anger as he did.
"You again" Micheal snarled towards the vampire, "How inconvenient. But I should have guessed."

Zane narrowed his eyes at the man, trying desperately to remember his face.

Micheal shrugged, he seemed to look straight through the haystack, "Her, the child...." he stretched his neck to the side, eyes moving back to Zane "...You dead"

"Of course I wont hurt them", anger flared in the mans eyes, "even if you are all too blind to see it. Kiya come out" he ordered, moving towards the hay stack.
Feeling her daughter tense, Kiya squeezed Tsjata`s hand, "It`s ok honey... it`s ok"

"We belong together... we`re a family, isn`t that right, Kiya? Isnt that what you promised me?" he stopped just short of the haystack.
Gritting her teeth, Kiya moved out from hiding, holding Tsjata close behind her, "I think the promise lost its hold once you tried to take my daughter and kill my friends" she spoke evenly, "Things change, Michael. Leave us alone"

Zane felt an anger rise in him. The visions Kiya showed him crept back into his mind. They weren't images any longer, but memories.
"Your family? No! They were my family. You took them away from me! You took everything away from me!"
Zane lept forward grabbing the man by the collar staring at him with cold eyes. He fangs came out as he pulled Michael close to his face.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now."

Michael smirked, looking over towards Kiya, "This is what you left me for, Kiya. And you wonder why I tried to save you..."
"Save me!" signalling for Tsjata to stay at a distance, she approached the two men, "How is destroying my life saving me!"
"Sacrifices had to be made. It would have been worth it" his eyes refused to show a glint of regret.

"I can help you with your memories" Michael turned his gaze to the vampire, "that is if you want to know more. I just have one request..."
Kiya felt uneasy, speaking with bravado she didnt feel, "I dont think you`re in any position to be making requests here, Michael"

"Don`t" Kiyas voice broke, unable to watch the scene before her, "Zane. He could be able to help us..."
Michael smiled arrogantly down at the vampire, despite his discomfort, "Thats right Zane, I could be of much use to Kiya. With such a deep, friendly past.."

Zane turned to Kiya, then back to Michael. He picked up the man by the collar and threw him across the room. He turned, clenching his teeth.

"Zane", Kiya lowered her voice for him only, "You know as much as I do we may need him... I want him as dead as you do"
Pulling himself from the floor, Michael watched their exchange with interest, before turning to Tsjata, and giving the young girl a small smile, "Hey darling, I guess your mama hasnt told you much about your past..."
