Pia flit about excitedly, munching on random bits of coral. "Oh I think we're in the Great Barrier Reef!" Tam observed happily as the shark bit her.
She sighed in annoyance. "Why am I always the one to lose limbs?" Fortunately for her today was different. Kads was going to lose a limb too. The shark bit off his leg.
"Oh bad luck Kads." She said flicking the mermaids tail that she'd just decided to grow. "Want one?" She said looking over at Kads who was swimming in his own blood.

"Why not?" Kaden said politely as he calmly looked at the blood flowing through the water. In seconds, more sharks appeared, attracted to the blood in the water. His merman tail grew as the sharks swam around. "This may be a problem."

Tam smiled serenely. "Kaden...do not fear them. They are our brothers." The sharks nuzzled Kads friendly like. "Come play." They sung joyously.

"Uh...I'd really rather not, what with your sharp teeth and -"
"COME PLAY!!" They yelled.
"Sure, why not?" Kaden quickly changed his mind, as he started to swim around with the sharks. "Save yourself." He mouthed to Syn.

Tam laughed and played a game of bite tag with the sharks, same as normal tag but they bite you when you're caught.
"Sorry guys we better go." She said seeing how far the sun had dipped. "We're going to China!" She said happily.
The sharks nodded in approval. "Yes we all make that journey some day." They said solemnly.
"COME ON KADS!" She cried dragging him along by the tail.

Waving goodbye to the sharks, he was pulled away by his tail, blood from the numerous bite wounds staining the water. "I think I may need a hospital Tam."

Tam laughed. "Silly Kads!" She said pinching his cheek in an annoying fashion. "I'll be your hospital." Saying that she tried to make herself look as much like a big scary building as possible. "Oh screw that, just come here!" She cried dragging him over by his tail.
She fixed him. "There ya go, now let's get going!"

He wanted to cry, "Just let me die" since he knew the only thing that awaited him was more agony wherever they went. But he just sighed and let her heal him. "This may not be the right time to tell you this, but I never really liked Chinese food."

Tam pointed her finger at him accusingly. "HA you say you're not Chinese and yet you knew what I was asking WHEN I ASKED YOU IN CHINESE!" She threw her head back and laughed triumphantly.

Between evil chortling Tam squeezed out a few words. "Nah ah, you only thought it was in English because Chinese is your native language, you've just been supressing it for so long you forgot."

Tam pursed her lips in annoyance. "I guess denial helps you sleep at night." She said glaring at him.
"But I'm willing to forgive your disobedience and disrespectful behaviour because I know it's part of your Chinese heritage." She said brightly, breaking through the waters surface.
"Oh what a pretty island!" She exclaimed, walking onto the warm, white sand.
