It only went on sale here in Western Canada 8 hours ago, so I haven't got it yet. Give it a few hours for people to get their copies.

No, I haven't bought it yet, though the average 350-400 page novel usually only takes me a couple of hours to read. I habitually read a book a day and often have several on the go at the same time; one at home, one at work, a couple in my backpack for bus rides...
At the moment I've got Trio for Lute, The Courtesan Prince, Winds of Change and The Last Herald-Mage on the go.

I didnt start this thread to look like some idiot who brags about reading fast, I didn't read it fast I'm just a huge hp fan. Next morning still haven't found anyone, slowly losing sanity, thought I'd watch a movie or something to take my mind off the book but thanks to my great knack for picking incredibly tragic stories I picked up House of Flying Daggers, woo hoo lovers dying that's made me feel perky, and the fact that school=hell and am returning to it in less than 2 days is threatening to send me to the local asylum or "house of nuts" as its so affectionately known. Anywho I shall leave you all be now and return to my little world I like to call denial.

I don't have the time or attention span to read the book eight hours straight, but I've finished the first chapter, and half of the second. What a great way to start out a book.

What are you going on about Robs? Bad week my dear, care to share? And I SO agree with you adelle it was bloody fantastic personally I think a certain someone is in love with another certain someone who asked them to protect a certain somebody they love, I hope you understood that coz I sure as hell can't make out what I just wrote.

I generally wait for the Potter books to come out as movies. While the books are probably good, I can and did read one in approximately three hours. I need something that's gonna keep me going longer than that.
Right now I'm reading Neil Gaiman's 'Neverwhere.' One hell of a good book and it's going to be finished way too fast!
Rob, I know how much of a pain it is to breeze through a book. There's never enough, is there?

I'm still sulking at Tam's being mean. Yes, Tam, I had a really bad week, it's not improving any, and you hurt my feelings a lot. Enough that if I hadn't been too tired to do anything, I'd have gone in right then and there and removed myself from the board.
Besides, dammit, I'm jealous. I have to wait for another TWO WEEKS before I can afford my copy of HP.

Unfortunately I understood Tam's gibberish. o.O I don't think she loves him, I think she's just starting to realise that maybe she made the wrong choices and the man she follows isn't the best guy to follow.
