Cassiel walked into the club with William. She was expecting to meet Eli and Sharir there too, but she didn't see them yet. Leading William over to the bar she said, "A few of my friends are meeting me down here. This will be the easiest place for them to spot us."

Eli walked in, and immediately spotted Cassiel and another person. He walked up to her and gave her a kiss. He turned to the new person. "Hi, I don't believe we have met. I'm Eli, her fiancee. You are?"

Damn hair, thought Sharir as he frantically brushed at his black hair. He'd washed it and made the mistake of blowing it dry (because he was in a hurry) instead of letting it dry naturally as he usually did and now it was a veritable sea of loose waves. It was fluffy to boot. With a last look in the bathroom mirror and an exasperated sigh, he moved on to his tiny wardrobe.
After laying out his two best outfits on the bed he decided on the casual but elegant look rather than the extremely casual 'I don't care how I look' look. He wanted to appear available, not desperate.
Now clad in his good black jeans and a nice black shirt with twinned white and red pinstripes running vertically, he grabbed his leather bomber jacket and hurried for the door. Catching a glimpse of his reflection in the mirror near the door, he hissed in annoyance at his unruly hair. His first night in town and he was debuting with hair that reminded him of nothing more than a badly used Q-tip. sh*t!
As he strode through the front office to the doors, the girl working the counter stood frozen watching him and then waved her fingers coyly. He gave her a big smile and waved back, continuing out onto the street. With his tattered map in hand, he traced his route to the Club and decided that the walk might help his hair. Even windblown was better than fluffy.
Along his way he turned the head of many a lady. He looked extremely attractive in his daily life but all done up and ready to party he was simply gorgeous. Part of his allure was the fact that he didn't make much of it and hadn't a vain bone in his body.
A fifteen minute walk brought him to the Club's front doors. The place sounded like it was hopping tonight and Sharir ran nervous fingers through his hair before he stepped up to the doors and opened them. Slowly he walked inside and stopped, searching the crowd for faces he recognized.

Cassiel looked up and saw Sharir walk in the door. She waved him over and then took Eli's hand and introduced him to William, "Eli, this is William."

William held out his hand. "Hello." He surveyed the club smelling more of the living, how had he let himself be convinced in comeing here.

The shifter spotted Cassiel's wave and waved back as he wound his way through the waiters and bar flies. Music was playing in another room where there was more space for dancing. He caught a glimpse of gyrating bodies through an open archway. Finally he reached Cassiel and the two men with her. Before he could say a word, a waitress buttonholed him.
"Would you like something from the bar, sir?" she smiled as she spoke.
"Ah -- sure," Sharir replied, "Rum and Coke please."
The girl bustled away.
Turning his attention back to the three he was with, he stuck out his hand to Eli for a shake. "I'm not sure if we've met," he said, "Sharir. I know Cass." As he looked at the vampire, he smiled, "Don't believe I've met you yet. The new faces are beginning to run together, I'm afraid, and I'm terrible with names."

(DarkHunter, you need to shrink that picture to a more reasonable size, same with you Sharir.)
"I'm Eli," Eli said, introducing himself to the newcomers. Eli then noticed someone suspicious hanging out, who had just entered the club.

Cassiel noticed the former vampire hunter that she and William met in the caverns. She leaned over to Eli, seeing that he noticed too, "Former vampire hunter,"she whispered, "not sure about him."

Sharir raised an eyebrow. "Then I'm very glad I'm not a vampire," he said.
The waitress brought over his rum and Coke. He lay his coin on her tray and gave her a smile as he took his drink.
"Thanks," he said.
"You're welcome," the waitress' eyes gave him a hungry look, "Any time."

"He's a shifter too," Eli said. Eli then looked at Sharir. "You're a shifter too. My guess is that you were the tiger in the forest, am I coorect? Because there wasn't a tiger around until recently." Eli hoped he didn't sound too nosy or rude.

Self-consciously Sharir stared into hs drink. "Yup," he admitted, "That was me. I like to keep a low profile. You'd be surpised at how many idiots would like a tiger rug in front of their fireplace."
He swirled the cherry around the bottom of his glass. "I've been hunted. A lot. So I'm very careful and I tend to move around the country quite a bit. It's hard to be inconspicuous when your alter ego is a tiger."

Eli nodded. "I have been hunted before, but for a different reason. But that is a real long story that I won't get into right now."

"I think we have all been hunted before. Seemed to be the popular trend a few years back." Cassiel smiled ruefully and shrugged, "But that's all in the past for me now."

Sharir took a sip of his drink, "Hopefully it's in the past for me too. There seem to be enough shifters here that this must be sort of a Mecca for them."
He put his glass down, "Is anyone else coming, do you think?"
