"Yeah, the assassin was known as Lady Death, but she told me her name was Lisa. I ran out of the bar, thinking to myself that there was no way this could be true. This girl was perfect, right? She wouldn't do this to me...She loved me....right? Stupid.
As I leave the bar, she's there. And she knows that I know. Finally, she explains everything. You see, the reason she tried to get close to me was because she heard of my proficiency with ice magic. She knew I'd have the advantage if she tried to just kill me outright. So she figured by doing this, she could get me with a sneak attack, since my guard would be down around her. The sad part is: A couple more days, and she would have probably been right.
Then she attacked me. And she damn well lived up to her moniker. She, like all bounty hunters, fought ruthlessly. I was subconsciously holding back, struggling to keep up using my magic to defend myself, never attacking. This didn't last, though, and she caught me with a bullet in my left shoulder." He said, pointing to the aforementioned shoulder.
Next, she caught me twice in the stomach and doubled me over. I thought it was over. She thought it was over. What's funny is that this is what it takes for me to get over myself and my self-pity, at least temporarily. Coming in for the kill, she sloppily rushed in. I made a stomach-high ice wall in front of her which she tried to jump, but it was too sudden and it clipped her toe. She stumbled, and I made this giant icicle come up from the ground, spearing her straight through." He finished.
