He took a deep breath and closed his eyes again. Great fire goddess, please grant me the hottest flame... He thought. No sooner had he got that thought out, than the memories - this time involuntarily - came rushing back into his head.
He was unprepared for the onslaught this time and was driven to his knees by the sheer force of the recollections. His eyes clenched tighter and his hands balled into fists. His breathing started to get ragged as he started to feel his body actually physically burning this time. The air around his hand started to seem distorted with heat, but the white flame wouldn't come out...

"Christ!" Kiya moved fast to Kadens side, "Kaden, open your palm!" Holding out her hand she forced his open and took all the heat from his body, chanting to rid them both of the fire. Suddenly, Kiya found she was recieving flashes of his memories. Gasping, she watched as again and again the female face rushed at her - the fire seemed so far away now, but she couldnt let go of Kadens hand.....

Kaden finally opened his eyes, his vision being blurred by the remnants of tears. Realizing that something happened to Kiya, he turned to her, his face now contorted with concern. "K-Kiya! What happened?" He frantically asked.

His words broke the spell. "Who was she?" she gasped out quickly, throwing away the last of the heat from their bodies. Looking down she shook her head, "I`m sorry I had no right to ask..."

Kaden took a deep breath. "Well, it started when I got to this town called Freedom Hole. Apparently it was set up by this werewolf that was almost killed by a mob of angry humans, for the simple fact that he was a werewolf. So he founded this place as a safe haven for any discriminated races. I was in search of this book, and I had a lead that led me to this town.
Anyway, as I get there, I go in a bar...you know: The eternal source for information. And as I get in, there's this stunningly beautiful girl just seated at the bar. Compared with everyone else that was in there, she was an angel. I think it was love at first sight. So, I go over and we start talking. We hit it off suspiciously well, but I didn't think of it like that then.
Fast forward a couple days: She's somewhere, I have no idea where. I'm back in the bar and lo and behold, I hear that there's a bounty on my head. Some rich guy who's heard I'm searching for what I now realize is HIS book, has paid a very dangerous female assassin to get rid of me." He starts.
