Star wached the pices of straw as they swam accross the floor of the barn as if in a dance. Star started to humm a soft low tone it was almost a sad tune yet not quiet sad realy.

Listening to Star, she watched the straw carefully trying to control the small amount of wind she used so it wouldn't get out of control... when she realized she knew that song.
Looking at Star, she smiled, "I've heard that one...it's a lullaby I remember from a long long time ago, but I can never remember the words." Humming quietly in tune with Star, she smiled, bringing back bittersweet memories, and hoped the tears gathering in her eyes wouldn't be noticed, and wouldn't fall...

Star hummed with her a wile longer and slowly she started to fill in the words to the song
Now i'm on a train to nowhere
to fine my futuer in my past
i'm on a train to nowhere
but this trip will be my last
Yeah if i can just get going'
and get myself on track
off this train to nowhere
it's going' nowhere fast....
she trailed off and stood up streching slightly as dyra hummed along " let them fall it is easyer to humm that way..." she said with out even haveing to look at her friends face to know the tears were there....

Her voice quiet as she heard the words, "It's been a long time since I've heard the words..." Looking around quickly, she realized that Star knew how close to tears she was, shaking her head fast and hard, she brushed them away with the back of her hand and looked at Star, "If I ever pause to cry about it all, I don't think I'd ever stop. Some things can't be washed away so easily..."

Star chuckled softly with her back to dyra as her own tears slidd gently down her face "i fellt that way till i came here ....then it all changed" she said barly above a wisper an slowly turned to dyra as she wipped away her own tears "but it dose not matter any more " she said and walked over to the door and stood there looking out at the still night...

Looking at Star, her voice was soft, almost a breath on the night air, "How does it change? I'm afraid that if it changes, it'll hurt more than it does now. But change for me was always painful, never slow and easy." Stepping closer, she looked up towards the star's seeing as always the constellations she looked for, the weaver, the knight, the dragon...among others.
"Why wouldn't it matter...if it changed, then everything changed with it...it should matter, if changing helped..."Dyra's voice was small, dwarfed by the silence in the sky and above, in the stars...eyes shining, she waited for Star's reply, again searching the stars for the figures she used to guide her on her journey's through life...

Star did not turn to look at her friend instead her eyes wanderd through the night sky and the many stars that were in the sky.... "becuse there has been so much change in my life that i dont care... most was for the bad but a little for the good.... i hate change becus i do not know if it is for the good or bad..." she stopped to let her words sink in and slowly turned to her friend....
"in our lives change happens all around us and we can not stop it... yet we wish we could but in the end we only mess up and wind up wishing we did not..." she said quietly an looked at the sky once more as dark rain clouds started to roll in...

Looking out of the barn, Dyra knew exactly what Star was saying, the truth of it vibrated inside of her very being, and she nodded, acknowledging that truth. Outside, the wind had started to pick up, blowing through the streets with subtle force.
A single leaf caught her eye, blowing along with the wind, "I know, sometimes it feels like I'm that leaf, blown wherever the wind will take me, not by choice, but by some thing I can't see, guiding me down the road."

Star nodded silently as the rain began to pour from the thick black clouds.... " yes i too know the filling" she finely said quietly an stepping just out side of the barn to were she was being rained on leand hevily on the wall of the barn "you know as i traviled i was always chased away.... rumors spread through towns and citys were ever i whent....so i became just as that leaf blowing around..." she trailed off an keeped waching the sky as lightning flashed lighting up the night sky...

Dyra was silent for a moment...her thoughts to her own flight, "Maybe we have more in common than I thought...I was chased, as well...followed..." Her sigh caught in her throat, and clearing it didn't seem to be helping much, but she continued, her voice roughened, "When people found out what I was...either by my healing them, or from those who follow me...they would chase me...some tried to kill me..." Slipping into the shadows easily, she felt a touch more at ease, "I learned how to hide well...to survive..."
The smile she had was bitter, but it was a smile.

she looked over at dyra even though she was in the shadows Stars shifter made it posible to see her friend "yes we do seem to have plenty in comon...." she said quietly befor looking back at the blackend sky...
