Revelations

[cassandra]

Unlocking the door to the club and turning on the lights, Cassandra motioned for Lilyrose to take a seat at one of the tables as she went behind the bar, poured a double vodka for herself and turning to Lilyrose said, "Name your poison chica...as someone once said, its 5pm somewhere!"

[lilyrose]

"Vodka sounds great " said Lily smiling at Cassandra "And congratulations , im sure you are both going to be very happy!"

Lily sat back in her chair , glancing at the door. "Im wondering if I should have left Narym alone in the circumstances " she said more to herself than Cassandra , "Something strange is going on here and I really dont like it ."

[cassandra]

"A woman after mine own heart! Vodka it is." Bringing the shots over to the table and sat down across from Lilyrose. "I can understand your cncern, but she was just going to check on someone at the sanitarium. That's a safe place, so I'm sure she'll be fine. I'm just so sorry that this happend to her...I should have said something earlier...when I first felt 'it'...and I'm sorry I didn't. And thanks for your well wishes...I adore him and he seems to like me a little, so I'm thinking we'll be very happy!"

Growing serious once again, Cassandra asked, "Has anything else happened odd since you've been here?"

[lilyrose]

Lily sat and explained everything to Cassandra from how Dyra had met her and helped her when she first entered Night World to how she had seen her slaughter the customers in the cafe.

"I don't see how I could have been so wrong about her" Lily sighed , "She seemed so nice". Lily then went on to tell Cassandra about how she had met Narym and the incident that had lead them to the sanatarium earlier that day.

"I really don't have a clue what is going on here but for some reason i get the feeling that you may be able to help fill us in on some of the blanks"

Lily let out a sigh of relief as Narym walked into the bar , still looking slightly worse for wear.

"Sit down and grab your drink" she said "you look like you could use it"

[narym]

Narym downed half the glass before coming up for air. Licking the froth from her lips, she sighed and sat back in the comfy chair.
" Well, and isn't that a lovely pint!" She drank some more. " I'd best remember how strong it is tho, " she grinned," had a bit of a hangover last time! That's my excuse for walking into that trap!"
She looked at Cassandra." Secretive lot you've got in the Sanatariam. They wouldn't tell me anything about the guy I was asking after. Not even if he was there! " She finished her pint. "I'd really like to know who he is and if he's ok. After all, I have a vested interest in him, I did help heal him. Any idea who he might be Cassandra?"

[cassandra]

"Yes. His name is Trent. I don't doubt the sanitarium was secretetive about him. It was no doubt on Trent's orders. I don't know much about him myself. I'll try and get in touch with him for you though." Turning to Lilyrose she took a deep breath and said, "As for filling in the blanks....I don't know exactly where to start. Night World is under attack right now, is the short of it. An evil sorcerer is trying to take it over. He's used illusions...direct attacks...he tried to kill Kaden and myself a few weeks ago..he poisoned Kaden..so I'm thinking he might have been responsible for your being poisoned as well Narym. I don't know why he singled you out...but I felt his aura all around the both of you at our first meeting...I so wish I'd spoken up then...but I didn't want the both of you to think I was nuts! Do either of you have any idea why he'd be after you?"

[narym]

Naryms heart sank. So much for settling down in peace and quiet!
" I honestly have no idea," she replied. " Fallow told me he sensed an aura around me just before I reached town. He thought it was because I was bone weary. That story I'll save for another day. Apparently it got darker when I started to heal that guy, Trent, and continued to get worse after that."
She untied her hair and shook it loose. " You're right, we should have talked about it from the start, but it wasn't exactly an easy subject to bring up with brand new acquaintances!"
She sat on the edge of her chair and looked earnestly at Cassandra. " I'm just a weary traveller. I heal some. I fight some, tho not so much now. Maybe it's not what I've done in the past, but what I may do in the future." She looked at Lily. " You and I don't know anything about each other really. What's your take on it?"

[lilyrose]

Lily sat and thought a while "I cant see any reason that he would want to hurt me " she mused .
"I know that I am being followed but that has nothing to do with Night World , and as far as I am aware I havent upset anyone since ive been here"

Lily grinned at Narym "Unlike some " she added.

[narym]

" Hey no fair!" Narym protested indignantly. " I'm an innocent party here!" She sat back and then forward in her chair again. " Hey, have you noticed? That strange feeling has gone!" She looked at the two women who had so quickly become her friends. " Do you think it's because we're bringing it out in the open? Or maybe it was someone trying to stop us becoming friends and has realised they've failed?"
She sat back and relaxed. " Well, I can't say I'm sorry!"

[cassandra]

"I'm not sorry its gone either..and I think it may be a combo of bringing it out in the open..and the fact that it didn't stop us from becoming friends. Narym...I think you might be onto something...you say Fallow said the aura was arround you as you approached Night World? I would say then...that you have the power to help us ...and the sorcerer doesn't like that!"

Turning to Lilyrose she said, "Have you been directly attacked? Or had anything happen other than what you say with Dyra?"

[lilyrose]

"No " said Lily shaking her head "Nothing has happened to me directly but I do keep having some really strange feelings , like I am being watched."

Lily finished her drink , "The first night I came into town there was defiantly someone in the corridor outside my room, it did freak me out a little , but I thought maybe someone had followed me into Night World. I have many enemies outside Night World " she said and smiled sadly, her thoughts returning to the hunters and the death of her parents.

[cassandra]

"You too? Well, its not a club that I would recommend joining, but its nice that I'm not all by myself in it any longer!" Cassandra laughed.

Sobering up she turned back to Narym, "Then, my friend, I'm afraid its you he's after...which tells me you must have strong powers. Glad to have you on our side, sorry that you're drug into a mess?" Cassandra said uncertainly.

[narym]

Narym smiled and shook her head. " It wouldn't be the first time," she said wryly. " Isn't that right Fallow?"
'Indeed,' the dragon agreed, speaking into all their minds. They could see his huge eye appear at the window. ' And most likely not the last.' He snuffled. Narym grinned.
"Translated that means he's in a snit!"
The dragon rumbled.
"I'd better not tell you what that means!"
She turned to Cassandra. " I don't have anything special in my bags of tricks. Other than the healing and a bit of fire here and there. I can fight clean, or dirty as the situation demands. I can't imagine what I have that would frighten a sorceror! Do you think Kaden would have an idea?"

[Kaden]

"An idea about what?" Kaden asked, entering the supposedly-closed club and not being the least bit surprised at what he found. Hardly anything surprised him anymore, he found. All he'd heard was the last bit though, so he had no idea what the group was talking about.

[cassandra]

"Well....hunny...it's nice that we've all met already so I can dispense with the intro's...and idea's about why the sorcerer would want Narym? Specifically..want to kill her? That's the aura I've been sensing around her...I'm sorry I didn't tell you before..I didn't want you to think...well.." Cassandra let her voice trail off, unable to meet his eyes.
