It still hurt to speak on him, but Kiya kept the tears away. She would not cry now. "Micheal" she said softly, "I dont remember any of my past under the age of ten. Thats when I first met him... he taught me how to defend myself, I was always different from the other girls at the orphanage.." she lit a small ball of flame in her hand, "go figure"

"Yeah, I bet not many of them could start fires in the palm of their hand." Kaden commented, noticing her slight reluctance. "And when it comes to killing loved ones, you're not alone...trust me." He told her. He hadn't felt the need to tell anyone, but he wanted her to know she wasn't alone.

Kiya appreciated the fact that Kaden had shared with her something she was sure was personal to him. Closing the palm she extinguished the fire in her palm, "thanks"

"The ice spear?" He asked, starting to think. "Well, making it is easy enough, but I'm not sure about you enlarging it. That might get out of control......But if that's what you wanna do, then okay." He said.
Taking a breath, he continued. "Alright, for your first spell and all subsequent ice spells that you are undoubtedly going to learn..." He began with a smirk. "You need to pick a word. Any word. You have to like saying it, because when learning a new spell, you'll say the word while envisioning what you're going to make."
