Cassiel shrugged, "I learned how to fight because I had to. First in some of my foster homes, then definitely on the streets. I've had various people take me under their wing, but no one special like you had."

Cassiel reached out and put her hand over Genobee's. "We did what we had to do to survive. You were seven years old for goodness sake. It was probably better that we weren't found together." Cassiel sighed. "The most important thing is that we are here now."
